Chapter 158: Agreement
"You're truly something… I don't know why but something special always happens around you."
"Ehm. What?" Albert tilted his head in confusion. "I don't understand what you mean. Are you telling me I have bad luck?"
"No, no." Lilith shook her head and asked, "Anyway, would you mind telling me your problem? Let's focus on the problem first."
"Sure." Albert then began to explain what he had found regarding the salamander, including its strength. He also added the suspicion about the volcanic eruption, but everything would be investigated at a later date since the salamander was their priority.
After listening to the problem, Lilith's face became grim as she never thought there was such a monster hiding underneath her kingdom.
"I see. To think there is such a creature sleeping underneath this kingdom this whole time. Do you mind waiting for a moment? I want to investigate the salamander first according to history. My kingdom should have some books regarding this salamander's existence." Lilith asked.
"Yes, I don't mind." He agreed without hesitation.
"Good." Lilith then raised her head as if looking at someone. After a moment, her vision returned to Albert and said, "Sorry, I'm asking my librarian to check the record. While we're waiting, why don't we talk a bit? I can see that you're pretty exhausted."
The moment she heard Albert was exhausted, Rasith immediately left the room to give them some private space while preparing for Albert's drink.
On the other hand, Albert simply answered her question without hesitation. "Well, I rushed here as soon as I teleported the salamander. Will Raisa come here again to handle the salamander like last time?"
When she heard that question, a wry smile appeared on her face as she mysteriously looked at Albert for a while.
"Ehm, she's not?"
Lilith paused for a moment before saying with a calm tone, "Actually, we have a problem here. You should know we have a war going on, right?"
"Yes."
"We've sent our people there, so we don't have enough people to handle this salamander. I don't think I can call Raisa back to handle the salamander."
"Ah. So, what are you planning to do? From what I can see, the salamander is very strong. I'm afraid he can destroy many cities in an instant."
"Yeah. After learning the salamander's identity, I think I'll personally go there. You surely won't mind guiding me there, right?"
"What? You're going here personally?" Albert widened his eyes, never expecting Lilith to go here by herself.
"Yeah. Is there any problem? Do you hate me or something?"
"I just thought you were a busy person." Albert shook his head.
"This is a big problem, so of course, it'll be prioritized."
"Well, if you come here, I guess I don't mind showing you the spot myself."
A smile appeared on Lilith's face as she said, "That's great. I'm looking forward to it. Anyway, there's a problem you need to know. Do you remember, Alisa? The human that I once captured."
"Yes." Albert nodded, confirming it. Alisa wouldn't disappear from his mind because she would always be the first pervert he encountered.
"The report stated that Alisa is visiting the Holy Kingdom. I'm not sure about her purpose, and because of the war, I can't personally capture her again to ask for her intention."
"Well, I hope that I don't meet her again. Although I'm thankful to her, it doesn't mean I want to associate with her any time soon. As long as she doesn't aim for my life… And my people's lives, I don't see any reason to monitor her or something."
"That's what I'm worried about. According to my speculation, she's planning to meet the saintess. I know about your identity…" Lilith narrowed her eyes while mentioning Albert's identity.
"I see. The saintess also came from another world." Albert thought for a moment and asked, "Well, there's also a chance that we don't come from the same world."
"What do you mean? Not from the same world? I mean, you both are from another world, right?"
"Yeah, technically. However, there are numerous planets, and we're only one of them. So, there's a chance that we're not from the same planet. Just look at the stars at night… That's basically the sun of another world."
"Is that true?"
"Yeah. Common knowledge in my world."
"It's surprising that you share such knowledge with me." Lilith chuckled.
"Why not? I mean, you're pretty trustworthy, so I don't mind saying all this as long as it's not that important." Albert shrugged. "This is just trivial knowledge after all."
"Thank you for your trust." Lilith smiled and asked, "So, there's a chance that you're not from the same world… Is that correct?"
"Yes."
"Actually, let me share what I know about the previous Great Sage." Lilith started telling him about the information recorded in her library.
When Albert heard all that, he immediately corrected himself. "Yeah. I think we're from the same world. I'll take that back."
"I see. In that case, the Saintess will surely know about your power and what kind of existence you are to us. I'm afraid they're going to convince you to go with them, and I'll be fighting you." Lilith let out a long sigh as she didn't wish to be Albert's enemy.
"As I said back then, I only want the freedom to explore this world. I won't be someone who will annihilate an entire kingdom for no reason." Albert shrugged, not caring about the saintess's invitation.
"What if they seduce you or threaten you with Yale or the others' lives?"
"I don't know. I haven't thought about it." Albert shook his head with a sigh.
"Alright. I understand." Lilith could see what she needed to do when that happened, so she didn't need to force Albert to answer that question.
"Anyway, I wish for freedom."
"Don't worry. I know that." Lilith waved her hand, assuring him.
*Bang!*
Suddenly, Albert heard a noise from the mirror as he realized it was someone from the castle.
Although he couldn't see her appearance, Albert knew about their conversation.
"Your Majesty. I've come as per your request."
"Good. Thank you for coming. So, I want to know about the existence that wreaked havoc in this place a few thousand years ago… During the Lunar Age."
"Certainly. I've confirmed its existence. According to the record left behind by our ancestors, there were once five great beings that ravaged this land. They are the Great Salamander, Unbeatable Leviathan, Mountain Titan, Unstoppable Lightning Bird, and the Mighty Wind Chaser."
"So, you're assuming that this one is…"
"Yeah. It should be the Great Salamander. These existences are equal to the seven kingdoms of our age. If we incorporated ourselves with Seven Deadly Sins, the one in the previous area associated themselves with Fire, Water, Plant, Lightning, and Wind… These five elements. So, the Great Salamander is equal to Your Majesty."
"This is going to be troublesome then." Lilith frowned.
Suddenly, Albert added, "If you believe me, I can assure you that you're stronger than this salamander. Don't ask me how I know it."
"Really?" Lilith widened her eyes while the librarian didn't believe Albert.
"Yes. That is the only thing I can assure you. But I need to add that the salamander won't be horny anymore, so your charm won't work on him."
"I see." Lilith thought for a moment and nodded. "Yeah. If it's only raw power, I think I can do it. We don't have enough people to handle this monster, so I will just kill it myself."
"This is dangerous, Your Majesty."
"Yeah, but if I don't go, the salamander will mess up with the war. And the effect will spread to the entire kingdom. So, it's better for me to go." Lilith waved her hand with a stern face as she had already decided. "Anyway, what do you know about them?"
"There aren't many records about them. All we know about them are… The fact they were one of the reasons why the era shifted to a new one. Unfortunately, we don't have anyone who understands the ancient language. If we have, we can understand more about what happened during ancient times."
Lilith's eyes brightened as she looked at Albert. "You said you can understand the salamander."
"Yeah."
"Can you help me with this? I'm going to beat the salamander up until he spouts all the information he has. After that… What? Should I just hand the salamander to you as your mount? Well, we can talk about the reward later. I promise that I won't wrong you."
"I believe you." Albert nodded. "Sure. I don't really mind. I have time anyway."
"Great." Lilith smiled and turned to her assistant. "Tell the others that I won't be here for a week. Let them handle the kingdom for now. There doesn't need any reinforcement."
"Understood." The assistant replied and bowed her head.
After that, Lilith rose from her throne and said, "I'll be visiting you. Tell the manager to bring you to the best inn the city has. I'll meet you there when I arrive."
"Sure." Albert nodded.
As though she couldn't wait anymore, she disappeared from the mirror.
