Almighty Summoner System

Ban closed his eyes and filtered the noise so that he could only hear the area around the tree where he hung the roasted meat. As of the moment, the meat was still there, unattended. 

Ban already guessed that, that woman should be the guard that Kuys assigned to look out for Ban. He knew that she had already caught up, and might have only been hiding to avoid alerting Yakob and the others. 

He considered that as she was looking out for him, she must not have the time to hunt for her own food. He was considerate enough to give her something to eat. 

Ban also did not make this move out of the blue and just because he pitied her. He was actually using this as some sort of test to determine her real identity. If she was truly a guard assigned by Kuys, he knew she would not hesitate to eat that mate he gratefully offered. 

However, if she hesitated, then that means she's an enemy, and she was afraid of Ban poisoning the meat, and hence would be unwilling to consume it. 

Ban secretly smiled thinking of his plan. He irked up his ear and focused on that area of the tree. And he guessed it right, Rila really emerged from behind the tree and slowly pulled the hanging meat towards her side. She then took a bit from it without any hesitation before she stepped back behind the tree again before disappearing from Ban's ears. 

Behind the tree, Rila just shook her head as she guessed what Ban was thinking. She knew that she had already been exposed by Ban so there's no use hiding from him anymore. Instead of making things awkward and difficult for the child, she thought that it should be better to announce it to him straight that she isn't hostile. 

Ban smiled 'seeing' what had transpired from the distance. Now that he already confirmed it, he eased up a little, knowing that there was truly someone protecting him from the dark. Although he thought that her speed was a little disappointing, it's better than nothing at least. 

However, he also realised that with someone always watching him from the dark, he should take extreme caution on what kind of ability and skill he can and cannot showcase, in order to avoid them getting the wrong idea. 

However, thinking about the recent deeds he did during his hunt, he could only smile wryly. For now, he should just think of some reasonable excuses when he gets back.

He stopped using the Echo Hearing skill and refocused his gaze in front of him. The event of Rila taking the meat from the tree transpired swiftly, Ciera did not even notice that Ban had closed his eyes for more than ten seconds as her gaze had locked on to the meat. Aside from the meat, everything else has become obsolete to her at the moment. Of course, without Ban's permission, she still managed to hold herself back. 

Seeing her glistening eyes, Ban could not help but laugh a little and said, "You can eat, there's no poison there! " 

It might be just a little joke for him but upon hearing it, Ciera became alert all of a sudden. It was very suspicious to explicitly say that there's no poison there. She thought that Ban was obviously trying to trick her. 

She glared at Ban a little, before she looked around suspiciously. However, seeing that Yakob's Monster was not far away from her, she heaves a sigh of relief. With the monster there, she was quite confident of her safety. 

And just as she was about to decline the meat as she was afraid that there was really a poison there, Yakob's monster, the Yak, suddenly crawled towards the meat, and without any warning, its pink tongue extended from its mouth, as it licked the oily surface of the meat. 

Seeing that, Ciera could help but be taken aback. No longer suspecting anything, she tried to push the Yak away as she also decided to take a portion of the meat and ate it immediately. 

Even the Yak has already digged in, how could she not do the same? 

The moment the meat landed on her tongue, beautiful flavours assaulted her mind. A moment later, he eyes widened in surprise as she realised something. 

'This is not the meat of some normal animal, this taste, this can only be the taste of a Beast!' She exclaimed inside her mind as she did not expect something like this. 

Roasting animal meat in the wild was already extravagant, but roasting a Beast meat? She thought it was very excessive. 

Animal meat could only provide little nutrients specially to the awakened. However, Beast meat is different. Some of them can even allow a Summoner to rank up and make some mortal have the strength of a warrior. That is the reason why Beast meat is almost a hundred times more expensive than normal meat. 

Excessive! Truly excessive! 

She kept on screaming inside her mind but her hand never stopped ripping some meat and delivering it to her mouth. Her hand and mouth worked in coordination as she gobbled every meat that her hand delivered to her mouth. 

Although she kept screaming that it was very excessive, she would not waste this opportunity not only to eat this delicious meat, but to also gain its nutrients that can help nourish her Summoner body.

In Falcon City, you can only eat something as delicious and precious as this inside a luxury restaurant. Each serving costs more than 20 Gold Coins and unless one has deep pockets, one would actually not dare to eat such luxurious things. And here she was trying to eat a huge portion of this. She was even planning to decline it earlier. Thinking about it, she could help but feel ashamed of herself. If she really missed this opportunity, she doesn't know how she could forgive herself. 

Seeing the Yak almost eating everything, Ciera could help but curse it inside her mind. 'You're already a D-Grade Monster, why are you still trying to eat my meat?' 

She tried to block its way as her hand and mouth worked in coordination to eat the meat of the Beast. 

Seeing her like almost savage way of eating, Ban could not help but back away a little and think, 'Have she not eaten meat for days? Or it is the way of eating of the rich people?' 

It's almost like she was eating like an uneducated Beast.
