Ban thought for a moment and realized that they were truly desperate. He also knew that it was only the Demon Mushroom, so it's value to them was even higher compared to some Beast of the same level that can be sold on the markets.

"If you want, you can discuss it with your group first."

"We truly need it…" Yakob said and bowed towards him politely. Seeing the Yakob's action, Ciera followed suit as well. 

Yakob was an Elder of Sander's family. His words and actions carried a lot of weight but here he was bowing his head to someone younger than him respectfully. Ciera was truly grateful that the Sander's family had such an Elder in their family.

Ban scratches his head cheek hearing him. 'By group, did he mean my Beasts? Or was he assuming that I have some companions? It seems to be the latter.'

Ban felt that it was very fortunate that Yakob thought that way. 

No wonder he was polite. It turns out he was also wary of Ban's companions. He must've thought that instead of going into a needless fight, they should try to ask politely first. 

If Yakob knew that it was only him and his Beasts, would he act the same? 

Ban thought for a moment and guessed that he might still act with all honesty, but he won't be as polite to him. 

Ban looked at Yakob as well as Ciera. There was a pleading look in their eyes. The person they wanted to cure must truly be an important one. 'Is it her father?' Ban took a guess.

'They wanted to cure someone's illness, what kind of illness are they talking about? Unlike others, the Demon Mushroom only has a handful of uses, that he guessed was not known on the Eagle City as even Mr. Nian labeled it as an extremely useless kind of Beast.'

"No need for their opinion… Earlier, you said that you will exchange anything of equal value to it right?"

"Yes!"

This time, Yakob and Ciera answered simultaneously. Their eyes were lit up in excitement, for Ban to ask like that, then the Demon Mushroom was still truly in his possession, and it was likely that 'they' don't have any urgent use from it as well. 

Ban looked at their reaction and could not help but feel hopeful as well. If they truly have it, then he would no longer need to risk his life checking on that river to see if there was truly Pure River Water there. 

If he got it from them, then he could just circle around the Inner Area and look for Elite Grade Beast with F-Apprentice Rank to feed the greedy Unknown Egg. 

"Then… Can you guys give me some Pure River Water? Five cups of this size are enough!" Ban said with a hopeful tone and great enthusiasm. 

However, contrary to his expectation, after hearing his request, Ciera and Yakob could only look at each other with a wry smile on their face.

Yes, even though the Pure River Water was not as valuable as the Demon Mushroom to them at the moment, and they would surely hand it over to him without question if they have it. 

However, the only problem was that they don't have any Pure River Water except for those on their vials at all. 

And even if you put them all together, no, even if they put all of the Pure River in the whole family, forget about five cups, even gathering 2 cups would be difficult. 

"This… I'm afraid  we would not be able to pay this request, not unless we somehow got lucky and found a Pure River Water source, anyone, not even those traveling caravans can fulfill such request…" Elder Yakob said with a wry smile. 

Yakob shook his head as he thought Ban was not right in his mind. Who would request such an extravagant thing? Unless, he was deliberately trying to pick on them?

He looked at Ban and seeing his hopeful expression, he immediately thought that it was impossible for him to deliberately pick on them. They don't have a grudge against each other as well, so he guessed that Ban was just ignorant about how rare a Pure River Water was.

"Eh? Really?" Ban said in astonishment.

He knew that the Pure River Water was rare, but hearing that even those caravans would not be able to procure five cups was new to him. 

"I heard those caravans are wealthy and would sometimes bring some Pure River Water to auction, was it not true?" He inquired.

"No, you are correct. I have already participated in many caravan auctions. Sometimes, they would really bring a Pure River Water for auction, but their volume… I'm afraid that the greatest amount I encountered were only five vials, with the size of that cup you are holding, five vials would just be enough to fill just around one fourth of that cup. And they're diluted with water to the ratio of 1 to 10 as well."

"I don't think what you need is the diluted one, so even for them it's truly impossible to obtain such a large amount." Yakob said. 

Ban recalled something and immediately asked.

"Then how about the Adventurers Guild? I heard they have a bowl of it?" 

When he registered as Leon before, he saw it for himself. That lime-colored liquid was a Pure River Water. 

"Heh, I don't know about the Eagle City but the Pure River Water inside the testing bowl of the Adventures Guild in Falcon City was diluted to the extreme. They also have a bowl of it, I heard they are diluted to a 1 to 100 ratio."

"It's precisely because of this fact that I was worried that it might somehow fail in the future. I've raised this issue before but, well, the Adventures Guild is run by a family, they would prioritize profit above everyone else, so there's really nothing we can do about it." 

"As they are connected, I'm guessing that it should also be the case for the Eagle City's Adventurers Guild as well." Yakob explained with a scorn. It was apparent that he doesn't put the Adventures Guild on his eyes. 

Ban became dispirited hearing that as he thought if there's no miracle, then it's most likely that he would not be able to gather five cups of Pure River Water for his mission. 

However, just as he was about to ask another request in exchange for the Demon Mushroom's body, he suddenly heard Ciera talking all of a sudden. 

"Actually, there might be another way!"
