Chapter 692 Legion Of Evil.
"My name is Isaac Whitelock." Isaac sat on the railing while not looking the slightest bit scared to fall into the water. "Gaia probably hadn't mentioned me."
"Yes, she hadn't..." Ceto waved her hand and removed the cocoons. "I believe you, and I assume you are going to White Paradise... with these guys?" She looked around in confusion, wondering who they were.
"Yes." Isaac nodded. "They are a special army from Stronglord. Each soldier is above level 500 and is a great asset to have. Then, this man here is Lock Stronglord, Emperor of the Stronglord Empire, and I can assure you that he is quite powerful."
The soldiers straightened their backs to show their worth and discipliness.
Lock softly nodded to Ceto, still wondering who she was.
"Over level 500..." Ceto drew a breath and started trembling in excitement. Most of their soldiers were around level 200-300, at best.
She glanced at Lock quickly and also realized his power, which was amazing for someone from the Summer Realm.
'The demons have no idea what is going to hit them...' Ceto turned to Isaac and thought. 'I wonder where he came from. I thought someone like him should have been of the utmost importance among the primordial gods.
"What is the situation in war?" Isaac asked.
Ceto left her thoughts and said, "Dire. Three Demon Kings are attacking White Paradise, and this is only the beginning. The demon army is still beating our army since their average strength is higher. However, we planned to mobilize Spring and Autumn Realm's armies soon."
"Oh, I see." Isaac nodded and didn't look distressed since he knew Luna and Alice were alright. He hadn't stopped looking at their situation, even for a moment. He knew they were currently in Legacy Company's headquarters, among several other Chain Breakers. They were having a debrief.
"I can increase the speed of the ships if you want." Ceto said. "We could arrive on land in an hour."
Lock and the soldiers turned to Isaac. They let him make the choice since it seemed like the unknown woman only listened to him. They also didn't miss the thing about him being the legacy carrier of the Mother of All Life, Gaia!
If it were true, it would be an immensely shocking thing. They prayed to Gaia during Sunday schools, and she was one of the most worshipped goddesses.
"Only three Demon Kings are attacking, correct?" Isaac asked, and Ceto nodded. "Then, there are three more Demon Kings left, so the war isn't at an endgame. It would be mistake to reveal all of our cards."
"Three left?" Ceto looked strangely at him. She obviously understood that Isaac knew a lot about demons. "Are you aware that there are seven Demon Kings?"
"Oh, you don't know yet?" Isaac looked at her and said, "Satan is dead."
"What?!" Ceto's eyes bulged. "How?! Was it done by primordial gods? Did they trap him or something and finish him off?"
She hadn't ever been this excited before. The Demon King of the Second Heaven was dead!
"No, I killed him." Isaac said it casually and turned back to the water. "Let's not use your abilities to move faster. I rather not want demons to find out about us until Lucifer makes his move."
Ceto's face went blank. Her mind almost worked like a machine and was currently having a hard time putting things together.
"Y-You killed... one of the Demon Kings?"
"Yes, I could have killed two Demon Kings, but alas... ugh." Isaac shook his head, not wanting to talk about it.
Ceto held her forehead with a stunned expression. She knew how hard it was to kill Demon King. She fought against Leviathan and only had an advantage because of her absolute control over the sea and water. On land, she would never be able to defeat Leviathan.
Even if Satan were weak on land, which he wasn't, it would still be incredibly difficult to kill him.
The man before her looked even more stunning, like a bright hope blazing above humanity.
Ceto's fists clenched, and she cheered internally. 'We all thought we failed in grooming a powerful enough player to help us in the final war. We were wrong. We succeeded!'
...
In the Summer Realm, inside city called Victorian.
A beautiful Victorian-styled city stretched to the horizon as buildings with pitched roofs, balconies, and roof towers stood tall. The cemented streets filled the empty city, as this was another city that had been abandoned.
However, then a crimson light descended from the sky and landed in the middle of the marketplace.
Lucifer raised his head after the crimson light faded away. He rose to his feet while the blood-red flowing robes fluttered around him.
His feet started stepping down the sidewalks as he left the marketplace and entered the dirt-stained streets, while the roads showed shapes made by carriage tire marks. There were fliers floating across the streets, making the city look like a ghost town.
It was only a few days ago that this was a beautiful, bustling city with handsome gentlemen and beautiful ladies walking together.
Lucifer had an destination in mind as he turned left, walked straight for hundred meters, then turned left and entered through the open door of a three-story apartment complex.
He walked up the stairs, arrived on the third floor, and stopped behind a door with a scratched sign of the number "12" nailed on it.
Lucifer was about to knock, but then the door swung open and he came face-to-face with Flintlock barrel.
BANG!
The bullet left the barrel, grazed past Lucifer's hair, and landed on a small fly, which was carefreely standing on a wall.
"I hate flies, and it had been keeping me awake the entire night..." The person said with a tired expression and eyebags underneath his dark eyes. There was a gold-rimmed monocle on his right eye, and he looked quite gentlemanly with his black trenchcoat, white vest, and black suit.
Lucifer was still looking at the barrel of Flintlock without expression. "You know why I am here. I already sent you a message via mind."
"Ah, I thought I was hearing things." The person chuckled and holstered the Flintlock pistol while bending his back for a bow. "Alright, I shall be in your "Legion of Evil" and... join your conquest."
Lucifer nodded, took out a notepad, and flipped to the second page. There were dozens of names crossed, and they were people he managed to invite to his "Legion of Evil".
He picked up his pen, crossed out "Jack The Ripper" and pocketed it.
"Am I the first one?" Jack asked while scratching his cheek with the barrel of his Flintlock pistol.
"Not exactly." Lucifer said and a portal opened behind him. It showed a room, with hundreds of shadowy figures seated around an enormous table. They were all the most hideous and most hated individuals in all of human history.
It was the true "Legion of Evil" and it was Lucifer's trump card!
