Chapter 433 Finish
In the meantime, Mareia was completely shocked. While hiding underwater, she tried to understand what Aion did, but nothing came to mind. All the knowledge that they had about him and the knowledge that Vangel obtained from the fragments never showed that he could do that without mana… his strength was also almost at the same level as he was supposed to be around one hundred years in the future.
The trick behind that power was simple, Aion used Timeless Punch alongside Inner Release… added with the power up from earlier, Aion got a lot stronger than anyone could have ever imagined. He was still feeling pretty sick, though.
"Let's fight for real now; I know that you are listening, and using the corpses won't do any good," Aion said while looking around. "I know that you are a crazy bitch as well, so you naturally want to finish things personally."
Aion didn't hear an answer, but he knew that Mareia had heard him since the corpses appeared again. His grandparents pointed their hands in the same direction and made some magma spears appear and be fired toward Aion. While he avoided them by sidestepping, he could feel their heat burning away his flesh.
The air around Aion became incredibly hot and suffocating, making it hard to breathe comfortably.
As lava passed by him, his body started to sweat profusely as a natural response to the extreme heat. The intense warmth causes his skin to feel like it's burning, and he even starts to feel flushed or overheated. It's as if he is standing too close to a blazing fire that threatens to consume him.
The heat emanating from the lava is so intense that it distorts the air around him, creating a shimmering effect that blurs his vision. The surroundings become hazy and disorienting, making it challenging to see clearly. It feels like being surrounded by a fiery haze that engulfs everything.
Aion didn't know that Vangel's mother was good at magic. Still, she also managed to surround him with numerous electric arrows and fired them. In the end, Aion summoned the sword that he got from Arlana and absorbed all the attacks, and felt his mana returning as well.
"Vangel version is a lot better, but this will do," Aion thought.
Still, Aion was unable to do the same when his uncle summoned an ice spear and tried to impale him with it…
Aion blocked the attack with the unknown sword and furrowed his eyebrows when he didn't see the ice spear melting… At the same time, his uncle began to push him back.
"What the hell… you were this strong when you were alive?" Aion thought.
Several electric spears surrounded Aion, and then his uncle began to thrust his ice spear at him at crazy speeds. Aion stood his ground, but then the electric spears closed in and almost shocked him. He jumped with all his might and avoided them, only to be hit by a barrage of magma spears.
As the fiery magma spears rained down upon him, Aion swiftly lifted his sword to block their path. The scorching heat radiating from the molten projectiles intensified, causing beads of sweat to trickle down his face.
With determined grit, Aion positioned his blade in front of him, ready to deflect the onslaught. The clash of metal against molten rock echoed through the air, accompanied by the crackling of intense heat. Each impact sent waves of searing energy reverberating through his arms, testing his endurance.
Aion's movements were precise and swift as he skillfully redirected the magma spears away from himself. The force behind each impact threatened to overwhelm him, but he held his ground, steadfast in his resolve. The heat intensified with each block, making the air around him shimmer with a blistering glow.
"Heeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhh!"
Just when Aion was about to taunt Mareia again, he suddenly heard her voice echoing in the area. Thanks to it, the power of the magma spears increased, and Aion was pushed backward dozens of meters with each hit.
Although their appearance remained unchanged, a dark power coursed through their veins. The infusion of Vangel's blood granted them strength and resilience, empowering their physical abilities. Once devoid of life, these reanimated corpses now moved with an eerie grace and purpose.
To the casual observer, they appeared ordinary, concealing the twisted mutation that lay within. Their bodies were vessels for Vangel's blood, their lifeless shells now fueled by its malevolent energy. This unholy fusion of life and spirit breathed life into their motionless forms, granting them an unnatural vitality.
"That is the only explanation…" Aion thought. "In any case, I am sick and tired of this woman. Time to end this."
Aion used Spatial Shifting and quickly made the four corpses appear on the same spot and then covered them in a thick layer of ice before sending them to his pocket dimension.
Everyone inside was shocked when a massive sphere of ice appeared in that place all of a sudden, even more so when it cracked, and then four corpses appeared… still. Aion quickly showed up and made his crystal absorb them before piercing their hearts.
"As expected… he used his blood, and once their hearts are gone, his blood stops working," Aion thought.
(The class Magic Spearman was unlocked.)
(The class Frost King was unlocked.)
(The class Fury King was unlocked.)
(The class Wicked King was unlocked.)
"Erval supposedly purified Tenebres' blood and his magic essence too and gave them to Malon and Cailena… So how come Vangel can use his blood like this?" Aion thought.
It's conceivable that Tenebres had a secret stash of his blood tucked away somewhere, unbeknownst to others. Vangel may have somehow discovered or stumbled upon this hidden cache and taken advantage of it.
Vangel might have managed to obtain a small amount of Tenebres' blood before it was purified. Whether through theft, manipulation, or some other means, he could have secured a supply of the blood before it became inaccessible.
