Chapter 425 Parasites
"It is them… our old allies," Fenhair declared.
"We will deal with them," Celion said. "They are beings that are intertwined with the fate of the world… killing them will take too long; losing them will be a pity as well, so we will keep them busy until you deal with Vangel in order to dispel his spell of control."
In a stunning showdown, the fire spirit takes on a towering form, ablaze with scorching flames that engulf its colossal body. Its presence radiates intense heat and a fiery aura that illuminates the surroundings. With each step, it leaves a trail of embers and sparks, setting the battlefield ablaze and casting flickering shadows.
Opposite the fire spirit, the earth spirit rises in a massive manifestation composed of rugged rocks and soil. Its form exudes strength and solidity, with towering cliffs and boulders forming its imposing physique. With each movement, the earth trembles, and the ground cracks beneath its weight, leaving a trail of upheaved earth in its wake.
On another side, the water spirit surges forth, a colossal figure composed of flowing water. Its form shimmers and undulates with fluid grace, reflecting the light with mesmerizing hues of blue and turquoise. Waves crash and splash around its towering presence, creating a watery spectacle that drenches the battlefield.
Facing the water spirit, the wind spirit takes shape, a colossal tornado of swirling air currents. Its form whips and twists with blinding speed, creating a whirlwind of motion. Leaves, dust, and debris dance in their powerful gusts, swirling with an ethereal beauty that commands attention.
In this awe-inspiring clash, the battlefield becomes a stage for the unleashed forces of nature. Flames roar and crackle, rocks crumble and collide, water crashes and splashes, and winds howl and whip through the air. The ground quakes under the weight of their might, and the air is charged with an electric energy as the elements clash and collide.
Witnessing this epic spectacle, one cannot help but be captivated by the sheer scale and power of these elemental beings. The ground trembles beneath their steps, and the sky above seems to crackle with their elemental prowess. It is a clash that echoes the primal forces of nature itself, a testament to the raw might and majesty of the elements at their peak.
While the spirits were fighting each other, Aion and the others saw a bunch of other beings appearing around. Things were starting to get way too chaotic.
From the depths of swirling time rifts, grotesque figures emerge with mutated bodies and twisted forms. Their appearance is utterly disturbing as if they were the result of a nightmarish experiment gone wrong. These abominations take to the skies, defying gravity with their grotesque wings or mutated limbs.
Their presence is accompanied by an overwhelming aura of bloodlust emanating from their contorted faces and wild, bloodshot eyes. The air around them feels heavy and tense as if anticipating the impending chaos they are about to unleash. Their movements are erratic, fueled by an insatiable hunger for violence and destruction.
Their mutated bodies writhe and convulse with unnatural agility as they hover and fly through the air. Limbs twist and elongate, sprouting additional joints or grotesque appendages. Some have misshapen heads with rows of jagged teeth, while others boast twisted limbs ending in razor-sharp claws or bony protrusions.
"Not much sense in immortality when you look like that… I hope that everyone that you brought can fight because it will be hard for ordinary people to fight others that can fly," Aion said.
"We left those who can't fight in another place," Sauros declared.
Now that he thought about it, Aion couldn't see Sauros' wife… she was pregnant, after all. Regardless, the enemies kept coming endlessly through the rifts, and it seemed that there was no end to them… Aion thought that Vangel would be busy gathering the fragments, but he still was keeping an eye on things around.
When Aion thought of teleporting to the middle of the enemy's base, he heard the sound of cannons, and then some things flew in his direction. Aion prepared to take those down with his magic. Still, then instead of that, he used Spatial Shifting to make everyone appear several meters backward.
"Hey, what…" Sauros said and then clicked his tongue when he saw the bullets landing. "Shit…"
The bullets were a group of people… one that Aion and his brothers knew very well. His father and his sisters… they had some knowledge about magic, so it made sense that enemies would use them… but Aion didn't expect that he could see the parasites that the speedster spread before on them.
Aion experiences a mixture of intense hatred and unsettling shivers simultaneously. It's as if a blazing fire of loathing burns within him, fueling his determination and unwavering focus. This deep-seated animosity empowers him, compelling him to seek justice and vengeance against his adversaries.
At the same time, a chilling sensation crawls up his spine, causing his skin to prickle and sending shivers down his arms. It's a visceral reaction, like a whisper of icy wind that raises goosebumps and serves as a foreboding warning. These shivers remind him of his imminent danger and the gravity of the battles he must confront.
The fusion of these conflicting emotions creates a potent brew within Aion. The burning hatred propels him forward, lending strength to his actions and resolve in the face of adversity. Meanwhile, the shivers constantly remind him of the risks he undertakes and the need to stay vigilant.
"Those parasites are a problem… if they die, those who have them die as well," Aion said while clenching his teeth as he saw his father drawing his sword and his sisters pointing their hands at him.
"What?" Henri said, visibly shocked.
Philip, George, and Elio were ready for the battle, but he didn't expect that things would start like that. They flinched with the enemies right in front of them, and that was a terrible mistake.
