Chapter 422 Obliteration
With calculated precision, the scorpions raise their tails, taking aim with their poisonous cannons. A hissing sound fills the air as they prepare to launch their venomous assault. Suddenly, the scorpions release a forceful burst of poison, propelling it through the air like lethal projectiles.
The venom, a sickly green color, courses through the air, leaving behind a trail of noxious fumes. Each venomous blast is aimed with remarkable accuracy, targeting vulnerable points with deadly intent.
Those things were troublesome… since they could attack from a distance, they might become a real menace to the others. It was a bit time-consuming, but Aion decided to cut their tails before sending them in. There was no point in risking his allies on such small fries, after all. Still, the enemies sure knew how to prepare an unpleasant start.

…
"At least I am gaining more experience," Aion thought.
Considering that those beasts could use magic like that, then they would become good materials for the refinement of the crystal.
Things were proceeding well, just as Aion had envisioned, but in the end, he didn't feel that satisfied since the words of the speedster kept nagging at him. At the same time, the air in the area was a bit off…
Just when Aion thought that soon they would leave the area of giant scorpions behind, an ominous wind began to blow in the area… something was coming, and Aion could feel it clearly.
All of a sudden, Aion something weird in the distance approaching.
As Aion looked into the distance, he noticed something approaching on the horizon. It caught his attention, and his eyes widened in disbelief as he focused. There, in the distance, he saw an enormous wave towering above the landscape. It was massive, reaching a height of five hundred meters, and it seemed to stretch endlessly across the horizon.
Feeling a sense of urgency, Aion swiftly turned around, only to be greeted by the same sight behind him. Another colossal wave, mirroring the one before, was rushing towards him. It was an overwhelming sight, two massive walls of water converging upon him from both directions.
The magnitude of the waves was awe-inspiring, and Aion could feel the ground tremble beneath him as they drew nearer. The sheer power and force they possessed were undeniable, and he knew he had to find a way to navigate through this impending catastrophe.
"Mareia… I guess she wants to turn the whole desert into a battlefield that will benefit her," Aion thought.
That was quite the spell… Aion didn't think that someone like her would be able to pull that off. As a mermaid that once ruled the world in the seas, it was natural that she would be strong, but not to the point that she could drown an entire country like that… she obtained more power as well, somehow.
As Aion observed from his vantage point above, the two colossal waves collided with a thunderous impact in the heart of the desert. The force of their collision sent shockwaves through the land, shaking the very foundation beneath Aion's feet. The noise that erupted from the clash was deafening, resonating through the air and filling the entire expanse with a cacophony of sound.
The clash of the waves created a turbulent maelstrom of water, swirling and churning with an incredible intensity. The sheer power unleashed by their collision was awe-inspiring as if nature itself had unleashed its fury upon the desert. The ground quivered beneath the onslaught, trembling with each resounding crash of the waves.
The waves, towering high into the sky, unleashed a torrent of water that cascaded down in a tumultuous display. Once arid and lifeless, the desert terrain was now transformed into a tempestuous battleground of water and sand. The impact of the collision sent droplets and mist soaring into the air, creating an ethereal haze that enveloped the area.
Aion could fly, so it was only natural that he would be able to escape from the attack. Still, the ocean didn't only bring new and unexpected terrain. Just like when Aion was planning to move, some massive tentacles emerged from the ocean toward him.
Aion flew higher in the air and then escaped the beast, but then the creature emerged from the ocean and revealed itself.
The towering Kraken emerged from the water, its enormous form casting a shadow over the surrounding area. It had a striking appearance, with a combination of vibrant red and deep purple colors that shimmered in the light.
The Kraken's body was massive and elongated, resembling a giant octopus with numerous tentacles extending from its central core. The skin of the creature was adorned with patterns and markings, creating a mesmerizing display of swirling designs.
Its tentacles writhed and twisted, each one lined with rows of suction cups that gripped and grasped with an iron-like grip. The Kraken's eyes, glowing with an intense crimson hue, seemed to hold ancient wisdom and a hint of malicious intent.
"I can't teleport something of this size to my domain… it seems that the speedster truly wasn't talking nonsense," Aion thought.
While Aion was high in the sky, he wondered if he should take that down even though it would make him waste time or just dash ahead and accept the risks of being attacked from behind. While he was thinking about it…
The massive Kraken unleashed a devastating attack, shooting powerful streams of water from the holes in its tentacles. These water cannons surged through the sky like high-pressure cannons, obliterating anything in their path.
The force behind each water cannon was tremendous, propelling torrents of water with incredible speed and strength. The jets of water soared through the air, colliding with clouds and dispersing them like mist.
The sound of the water cannons was deafening, echoing through the air and causing the ground to shake. The impact of the water hitting the ground created deep craters and sent shockwaves rippling across the terrain.
