Chapter 182: An Over-equipped Artifact Hero Vs A High-level Monster
Alex's PoV:
While wearing a variety of necklaces and armors, Mathew appeared in an instant towards the mouth of the huge snake.
Mathew slashed his sword towards the two fangs of the huge snake which cut the fangs of the huge snake into two.
Although the huge snake had suffered damage from Mathew, the huge snake was still moving at a slow-motion speed.
"I had used a one-time use artifact that could slow the moment of a single target. The level 79,000 boa constrictor is in slow-motion speed due to the use of the watch of slowed time, a mythical rank artifact."
While Mathew was still near the toothless mouth of the huge snake, Mathew explained to me what artifact he had used to slow down the huge snake.
The huge snake was a level 79,000 boa constrictor which I didn't know about since I had not read that many books related to the characteristics of monsters.
Mathew then stabbed the two eyes of the level 79,000 boa constrictor and pulled out his sword every time he had stabbed the eyes of the level 79,000 boa constrictor. The level 79,000 boa constrictor's blood slowly spurted out whenever Mathew stabbed the level 79,000 boa constrictor's eyes.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor slowly closed its mouth as it reacted to the pain that Mathew had inflicted on the level 79,000 boa constrictor's eye.
Mathew didn't stop in continuously stabbing the level 79,000 boa constrictor's eye with the use of his sword until the sword broke apart and shattered into several pieces.
"Tch. The limits of the legendary rank sharpest iron sword's uses have already been used."
Mathew took another sword out of thin air and started puncturing the head of the level 79,000 boa constrictor. This time, the sword that Mathew had used wasn't as sharp as the previous sword he had used.
Mathew had only penetrated the sword he was using on the level 79,000 boa constrictor's head up to 1 centimeter which showed how tough the scales of the level 79,000 boa constrictor were.
Mathew rapidly stabbed his sword on the head of the level 79,000 boa constrictor which looked as if Mathew was using a drill to puncture the level 79,000 boa constrictor's scales.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor seemed to have noticed the rapid sword stabs on its head so the level 79,000 boa constrictor slowly moved its head sideways.
The sword that Mathew was using was only a simple iron sword but instead of the previous iron sword, he had used that had an insane enchantment in its sharpness, the simple iron sword that Mathew was using now had an insane amount of enhancement in its durability.
Mathew's simple iron sword that was enhanced with numerous durability would be as sharp as a normal iron sword so Mathew should have some progress in penetrating the level 79,000 boa constrictor's scales, albeit he would need to stab his simple iron sword a thousand times before the scales of the level 79,000 boa constrictor would be punctured.
After all, most swords would break when it would be struck on the hard scales of the level 79,000 boa constrictor since the level 79,000 boa constrictor was a high-level monster that had a lot of defense stats compared to other high-level monsters of the same level.
That's what I had noticed when Mathew was attacking the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
Most swordsmen who could use magic, or also known as magic swordsmen, would use swords made out of mana against monsters that had a lot of defense stats so that they wouldn't have to use their weapons that don't have that much durability.
After what seemed to have been a thousand stabs, Mathew threw his simple iron sword into his side which disappeared in an instant. Mathew must have stored it in a storage ring or any artifact that had the same uses.
"This is getting me nowhere. I might as well use a deity rank spear artifact."
Mathew took out a spear that had a golden handle with ancient inscriptions written on it with a silver-colored spearhead from his storage artifact of some sort.
Mathew flew higher into the sky with the use of his leather boots that a pair of wings attached to it while aiming his spear towards the head of the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
Mathew then concentrated his mana into the spearhead of his spear and descended towards the head of the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
The spear of Mathew came in contact with the level 79,000 boa constrictor's scales on its head which caused numerous sparks to generate from the collision between Mathew's spear and the scales of the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
Loud sounds of metal clashing resounded in the forest which caused my eardrums to hurt a bit.
Mathew added more force into his spear as he plunged his spear further into the scales of the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor had to rely on its tough scales since it couldn't count because its speed was drastically reduced by Mathew's watch of slowed time.
The spearhead of Mathew's spear punctured the scales on the level 79,000 boa constrictor's head as it dug deeper into the level 79,000 boa constrictor's head.
Blood started to trickle from the level 79,000 boa constrictor's head which indicated that Mathew had finally penetrated the level 79,000 boa constrictor's skin.
Mathew took two potions out of thin air using his left hand and used his mana to open the lid on the two potions.
Mathew placed the medium-sized potion and small-sized potion with dark red color and pink color respectively on his mouth and chugged down the two colored liquid.
After a few seconds had passed, Mathew's strength and speed increased which allowed Mathew to plunge the golden spear deeper into the level 79,000 boa constrictor's head.
The sound of bones being cracked was heard as Mathew started to pierce through the thick skull of the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor struggled to slowly shake off Mathew but Mathew could still get on the head of the level 79,000 boa constrictor whenever the level 79,000 boa constrictor managed to shake off Mathew from its head.
Mathew repeatedly thrust his golden spear into the head of the level 79,000 boa constrictor where he had already made progress in cracking the skull of the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
Each thrust from Mathew's spear caused the cracking sound on the skull of the level 79,000 boa constrictor to be more evident.
Mathew channeled most of his mana into the spearhead of his golden spear which further increased the sharpness of his golden spear.
After several seconds of Mathew thrusting his spear into the skull of the level 79,000 boa constrictor, the skull of the level 79,000 boa constrictor had a lot of large cracks until Mathew's spear penetrated the skull of the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
Mathew then added more of his strength into his golden spear and thrust it which caused his golden spear to pierce the brain of the level 79,000 boa constrictor.
Afterward, Mathew thrust his golden spear further until his spear had skewered the entire brain of the level 79,000 boa constrictor. Mathew then retrieved his golden spear from the head of the level 79,000 boa constrictor which caused a lot of blood to gushed out from the level 79,000 boa constrictor's head.
Mathew flew out of the level 79,000 boa constrictor's attack range and suddenly, the effects of the watch of the slowed time wore off.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor's speed was back to its usual speed but unfortunately for the level 79,000 boa constrictor, Mathew had already damaged its brain several times.
Instead of the level 79,000 boa constrictor approaching Mathew, the level 79,000 boa constrictor plummeted towards the ground and unfortunately for me, I was below the level 79,000 boa constrictor's head so the level 79,000 boa constrictor's head was slammed onto my abdomen.
I had a decent amount of defense so I wasn't that much affected by the fall of the level 79,000 boa constrictor's head on my body.
The level 79,000 boa constrictor's blood from its head trickled down on its face until it drips into my body.
The slightly warm blood of the level 79,000 boa constrictor smeared my clothes and skin.
Mathew descended on the ground after he confirmed that the level 79,000 boa constrictor was dead. Mathew must have a bit of a grudge towards me for stealing his stolen item and it must also be because he 'stole it fair and square'.
That must be the reason why he didn't help me move out of the way of the level 79,000 boa constrictor's head.
Anyways, it's not like I am angry towards Mathew just because of that and not to mention he had helped me avoid death. I'm not an ungrateful person so I'll just forget about that and it's also because I'm the one who stole his artifacts.
I should just be thankful that he didn't ask me to return the artifacts and skill scrolls that I had stolen from him back to him.
As I started to forgive Mathew's action and also reflect on what I did to him, Mathew walked towards me and lifted the corpse of the level 79,000 boa constrictor off my body.
Finally! All that was left was to eliminate the huge tiger...
