Chapter 1527: Thousand Eyes!
Chapter 1527: Thousand Eyes!
Aakesh's eyes turned cold when he saw the vertical eye. He recognized the situation the city was in at the moment, and it was overly detrimental.
The eye belonged to a unique creature in the Sacred Dimension, the Thousand Eyes. As its name suggested, the creature had a thousand eyes, and it didn't have a body of its own.
Thousand Eyes was a creature without any level and had no killing or defending ability of its own.
Wherever the creature's eye would appear, a space storm would follow. As expected, the sky above Thorr City began cracking.
The wind turned rough and began to tear apart the black shell covering the city. Aakesh's eyes turned solemn since if no one stopped the event, the city and its inhabitants would die.
"Hey, system, activate one of the ultimate defenses," Aakesh asked the system.
Before ascending to the Sacred Dimension, Aakesh had sold his rights over commission from the store in the Primal Dimension, with the system paying him some attacks and defenses.
Aakesh immediately used one of those and rose in the air. The crowd inside the store had no idea what was happening outside the store. They looked shocked by the sudden reaction from the store.
Before they could understand what was happening, Aakesh flew from the store. The roof did nothing to block him.
He wasn't a True God, so he had to take the help of the system to fly.
In no time, he reached the cover of the black shell and faced the approaching space storm firsthand.
The vertical eye above the city was slowly fading away, and once it completely disappeared, the space storm would arrive.
Aakesh didn't act but waited for the disappearance of the eye.
BOOM!
Suddenly, the space above the city exploded, and space shards rained down the sky. Aakesh immediately acted and activated the card given by the system.
The next moment, a transparent barrier of energy appeared out of nowhere and engulfed the entire city. The space shards crashed into the barrier, only to turn into nothing.
The space storm didn't die down, but it turned even more violent and appeared to engulf the city.
Fortunately for the city and its inhabitants, there was someone like Aakesh and the store. The transparent barrier faced the storm and stood proudly without any cracks.
The space suddenly inversed, shocking Aakesh. Since it couldn't absorb the city, it absorbed the coordinates, where the city would teleport after getting devoured.
The next moment, in the skies of Thorr City, a silhouette of another city emerged and released terrible pressure.
Aakesh frowned since the city in the sky was part of a greater ruin that was suitable for all the cultivators in the dimension.
Suddenly, things returned to silence. The black shell around the city completely disappeared, while the silhouette of an enormous city silently stood there in the sky, waiting for the people of the city to enter.
The people on the ground looked frightened, and before they could understand what was happening, rays of light emerged from the city in the sky and randomly enveloped people on the ground.
When the ray of light disappeared, the people it had enveloped also disappeared from the city, causing a ruckus.
"Senior, what is happening?" Alfred rushed up to the sky and asked Aakesh. Her voice was filled with concern.
He was so worried that someone like him, who didn't like spending a penny splurged a large number of Sacred stones on the item to fly.
"A space storm had teleported the city in the sky to here, and it would select some candidates to enter it from time to time," Aakesh explained. Even he became curious enough to attempt an entry into the city but decided to do it later since the store was still open.
"Don't worry, things will return to calm after it has selected enough candidates. Getting selected can be a fortune or a tragedy."
Aakesh's voice rang in Alfred's ears while he had returned to the store.

"You need to pay seven hundred… Sacred stones," Aakesh expressionlessly informed the man.
The man nodded and paid for the pills he had purchased. After the sale was complete, he didn't leave but looked at Aakesh and asked about the city in the sky.
Aakesh could see many customers asking the question, so he stood up from his seat and walked to the rule board.
He snapped his fingers, and a white pencil emerged in his hand. He then wrote about the city.
Once he had completed the details, a crowd formed around the board.
Time flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.
The customer talking to Aakesh suddenly stopped after a door emerged out of thin air.
Click!
With a clicking sound, the door opened, and then a furry creature walked out. Those who were regulars at the store recognized the creature as Lily, while others looked surprised.
Not long after, the door reappeared, and Khaval stepped out of it.
Hmph!
Lily scoffed when she saw Khaval. The duo were fighting once again. Khaval responded with a spitting gesture, infuriating Lily, while the crowd in the store looked awkward.
No one dared to laugh at Lily or Khaval, so they could only put whatever they had in their minds in their hearts and not reveal it to the outside.
Aakesh ignored that since the duo would fight and then make up, so there was no point in him interfering between the two.
"Hey, Aakesh, what is that city?" Lily asked as she climbed up to his bun.
Aakesh pointed at the ruleboard. Since he was in conversation with another customer, he couldn't ignore the customer and tell her about the city.
Lily also understood that, so she looked at the ruleboard. Khaval also saw the scene, so he also looked in that direction.

"Thank you, store owner," The man thanked Aakesh after the sale of skill cards was complete. He then turned around and left the store.
He had walked only one step outside the store when the ray of light enveloped him, and he disappeared with it.
