Chapter 65: Revealed Truth.
(Tesslia’s POV)
Upon reaching a certain area, the ground shifted, revealing a large entrance. Blair said that she was busy, so couldn’t follow us inside. As such, Rosey and I exited the shuttle, and we watched as she flew away.
Rosey: “…”
Tesslia: “…”
Oddly, looking around, there wasn’t any sign of cameras. Despite this being sci-fi, it is against the law to make microscopic cameras, so you have to make them visible. Rosey even confirmed that there weren’t any cameras.
Which is weird, you know… Blair used to be a pirate, but didn’t break the law in this case? Still confused, we went further into the complex, taking a long elevator down.
Tesslia: “Wow…” I exclaim in surprise.
Eventually, we had witnessed a large vista. This place was a housing complex, situated underneath a large overhang cave, which had very lush and beautiful scenery to relax while looking at. Again, no cameras around at all…
Tesslia: “Rosey… what is this about?” I ask with a confused tone.
Rosey: “I don’t know… Let’s ask around.” She replied, also confused as I am.
After walking a bit, we found our room. Though she said that she would put an extra bed in for her, there were already two inside of the room. Which meant that she must have planned for Rosey to sleep with me from the start…
The room was nice, very similar to my room back in Karlena’s estate. The difference was that the style is modern, and not classical. All in all, it wasn’t a bad place at all. Everything seemed to be automated as well.
Varesta: “It isn’t a bad place to live, Tesslia. All my needs are taken care of, and I can focus purely on my art.” She said with a smile.
Tesslia: “I am not questioning your artistic skills, but isn’t a PC with internet access needed?” I ask in reply.
This was Varesta, one of the captured women of this complex, who just happened to be an artist. I was an outlier here, with the rest being all vampires. Rosey did mention that Blair collected unique women, and that seems to be true. Each of them had their own specific niches and talents. One was even a scientist…
Varesta: “Be a good girl, and you’ll get internet access. Blair even gives us the latest PCs the moment the release!” She gushed with praise for our captor.
Tesslia: “…”
Rosey and I talked to the rest of the women, each of them was staying here fully on their own will. According to them, Blair gives them comfort and endless funds, so that they can pursue their interests. In their words, since they were so damn weak, the women being able to do any of this is due to how well Blair treats them.
Heading back to our room, Rosey and I began a session of… thinking. Blair’s actions are confusing at best, and completely out of character for her at worst. She kidnapped a bunch of weak vampires, all just to help them pursue their interests? In my opinion, that sounds like something out a of bullshit romance novel…
