Sovereign of the Firmaments

A few minutes back.

In the mages guild, Elliott was sitting in his chair with a small mirror in his hand.

From time to time, a white coloured human spirit appeared in the mirror and was saying something to Elliott.

The spirit was the dungeon spirit that was giving timely updates to Elliott regarding the death rate of the participants in the dungeon.

"Master, an evil portal is trying to open in the dungeon."

However, this time, the dungeon spirit informed Elliott regarding the evil portal, making him pleasantly surprised.

"Can you guess which rank portal it is?"

Elliott felt it was a good thing; however, letting an evil portal open in the dungeon is not a good thing for him. So, he wanted to know the rank of the evil portal.

"Even though I can't tell exactly which rank it is, I am sure it is not higher than rank 4."

Dungeon spirit thought for a moment before replying to Elliott.

"Don't bother to stop it and let it open in the second level of the dungeon before asking the participants to kill the evil spirit beasts coming out of the portal."

From the portal, black coloured spirit beasts started rushing out as though there was no end to them.

Even though Beck said that she stood in front of Lucas to protect him from the incoming spirit beast.

Lucas shook his head and thought she was just like in his memories always trying to protect.

Lucas readied his short swords and waited for the evil spirit beasts to rush towards them.

Since Luna can't survive alone and they were travelling together for a while, Lucas didn't mind having her on the team.

However, just as he finished his words to Luna, he heard Beck's words before seeing a three-meter white lion appear out of nowhere and started killing the evil spirit beasts.

Lucas was only surprised for a moment because he already guessed she was powerful. If she was not, then how could she travel alone to the Barren firmament?

Without wasting any time, he started killing the rank 1 evil spirit beasts that were missed by the white lion.

This thought troubled Lucas a little; however, he didn't have time to think about it because the evil spirit beasts missed by the white lion were increasing at an incredible speed.

Lucas became very aggressive as he killed all the evil spirit beasts around him in less than a minute before he heard Beck's voice.

As soon as she finished her spell, the white lionwhich was fighting the hundreds of evil beasts let out a loud roar before growing by two meters in size.

Its teeth and claws grew along with its body size.

"Ada, kill them all."

Beck shouted out loud as she ordered the white lion which turned into a bloodthirsty beast and went on a rampage.

At the side, Luna also used her spell to kill dozens of rank 1 evil spirit beasts.

Other than Lucas' team, the other few teams of top families and guilds were also doing good, killing hundreds of evil spirit beasts as a group.

However, others were not doing good as they were overwhelmed just by seeing the number of evil spirit beasts rushing at them.

Some gave up fighting and died.

Some tried their best but still died.

Some got assassinated or killed by fellow participants.

Within no time, thousands of rank 1 and hundreds of rank 2 evil spirit beasts were killed by the participants.

'So, my short sword mastery will be increased only when I kill rank 2 evil spirit beasts.'

Amidst the battle, Lucas killed a few rank 2 evil spirit beasts and surprisingly his experience increased, making him come to that conclusion.

Before the first wave of the evil spirit beasts, there were 76 participants; however, now, there were only 49 left, which means, the first wave of rank 1 evil spirit beasts killed 27 participants.

"Young master, you are very powerful."

Beck caressed the head of a small white lion in her army as she said to Lucas with a bright smile on her face.

Lucas had killed nearly 100 rank 1 and a few rank 2 evil spirit beasts, making Beck a little surprised.

"You also got a good beast companion and in front of its killing, I am still far from powerful."

If Lucas had not seen the five-meter white lion transform into a small lion cub in front of his eyes, he would have not believed they were the same.

"I have to rely on little Ada while fighting and without him, I will be killed even before I cast my spell."

Beck replied and gave the full credit to the little white lion.

"You two are monsters."

At the side, Luna rolled her eyes at Lucas and Beck before directly calling them monsters.

Among the three of them, Luna killed very few evil spirit beasts. So, she could not help but roll her eyes at them.
