The target Lucas had chosen scoffed at the incoming fireball and he deflected it with his rank 2 sword.

The basic spell 'Fireball' missed the target.

As for Lucas, two system notifications rang in his head.

He knew that a basic spells like 'Fireball' and 'Earthspike' would not cause much damage to the mid-level squire, not to mention the high-level squire.

However, the reason he used that spell was just to get a rough idea regarding the power of the 'Fireball'.

'Looks like level 1 fireball can only be used for fireworks.'

Lucas shook his head as he put his short swords away and rushed carefully waiting for all the members from the weapons pavilion to come near him.

'Wolf's bite'

Behind him, Luna used one of her spells and injured a mid-level squire who fell to the ground.

"Not bad."

While observing the incoming attackers, Lucas kept an eye on Luna's spell and after seeing a huge wolf mouth appear out of nowhere to injure one of the attackers, he praised her.

"Kill that bitch fire. She is a high-level apprentice mage."

Seeing how powerful Luna was, the leader of the attackers shouted before rushing towards Luna.

As for Lucas, only a single attacker rushed towards him.

'Now, I became a secondary target.'

Lucas could not help but reveal a slight smile on his face.

Just when his attacker was only a few meters away from him, Lucas casually tossed three hidden needles.

'Huh? Hidden needles?'

The attacker scoffed at Lucas as he deflected all three hidden needles.

'Puchi'

However, who would have thought that Lucas was not planning to kill him with the hidden needles. Instead, he pierced his short sword into the attacker's throat.

The high-level squire didn't expect that he would be killed by a mid-level squire in a single strike.

Seeing that his mastery of the short sword increased by a single point, Lucas thought to himself.

'For now, I will focus on the short sword mastery while killing my enemies and as for the spells, I can use them on non-living things and still get the experience.'

With that thought in his head, Lucas looked at Luna who was surrounded by three high-level squires.

"Everyone, be careful. He is using hidden needles."

Lucas had to save Luna. So, he could only use the hidden needles to distract three attackers; however, one of them was very alert that he easily deflected three of his hidden needles.

Nevertheless, the other two attackers were not so lucky to evade the hidden needles.

However, Lucas was not planning to kill them with the hidden needles. So, he intentionally missed the vital parts.

However, before those two attackers could react to their leader, they had a short in their hearts.

'Ding,

The host killed two high-level squires. Gained two sovereign points.

'94 more men to kill to reach the complete success stage.'

Lucas pulled back the short swords and stood in front of Luna while revealing a slight smile on his face.

For a squire, when he reached the small success stage in the mastery of a particular weapon, then he would be considered a mid-level squire.

And when that weapon mastery reaches the complete success stage, he would become a high-level squire.

So, Lucas guessed that as long as he killed 94 more men with his short sword, his master in the short swords would reach the Complete success stage which makes him a high-level squire.

"Who are you? Why did you kill the young master Carter?"

Seeing that he was the only one who could fight, the high-level squire tightened his grip around his rank 2 sword before asking Lucas.

"Because I didn't like his face. Is that enough?"

'Swoosh'

As soon as he finished his words, Lucas rushed like a snake in zig-zag movement before slashing at his target.

'Clang'

However, he was a high-level squire. So, he was able to stop Lucas' attack with a simple block.

"Just what I expected."

The high-level squire was still surprised at Lucas' unique movements and speed when he heard Lucas's mocking tone.

"Girl, use it now."

Lucas shouted while looking at the high-level squire with the same mocking look on his face.

'Huh?'

The high-level squire frowned at Lucas's words and looked at Luna who also looked visibly confused as she didn't understand what she had to use.

"Puchi"

Just as both the high-level squire and Luna were having confused looks on their faces, Lucas used his other short sword to pierce through the high-level squire's jaw.

'Thud'

The high-level squire didn't even have the time to understand what was happening as his lifeless body fell to the ground with the same confused look on his face.

'Th..this is….who is he?'

Luna was already shocked at Lucas' killing spree without batting an eye as though he knew what he was doing.

Moreover, when she saw how he killed the last high-level squire using his wits to fool the enemy before killing him, she was even more shocked and started thinking about Lucas' origins.

Until now, because of her brother's death, she was not thinking straight; however, when she thought about her father and an entire family relying on the fire snake's gall, she decided to live.

Nevertheless, she was still blaming herself for her brother's death.

"Are you going to kill him?"

Lucas pointed at a mid-level squire in the distance and asked Luna.

"I will do it."

She hated herself for bringing her brother into the dungeon; however, he hated the weapons pavilion even more for killing his brother. So, he wanted to kill every single one of them.

'One kill is not going to make much difference for me.'

Lucas could have increased his short sword mastery's experience by a single point; however, he felt it would help Luna a little by killing at least of them with her own hands.

'While she kills them, I will just collect my loot.'

With that thought in his mind, Lucas started collecting the weapons and other things from the corpses of the weapons pavilion's members.
