Chapter 173: Starting The Treatment
"Aaahhh!"
"Argh!"
"Guoh!"
"Gah!"
A series of screams echoed inside the tent, stunning everyone. They told them the treatment wouldn't be painful, yet the screams clearly showed the exact opposite.
'If the treatment is not painful, how do you explain the screams?'
A single thought appeared in almost every individual. Even Raisa, who kept an eye on it to make sure everything went well, was stunned by these screams.
The soldiers were afraid to the point some of them who had put on their blindfolds took it off before looking at Raisa.
The latter thought it would be best to talk to Albert first so that she could explain it to the demon soldiers.
Unfortunately for her, she didn't have enough time to do it because the guy who received the treatment earlier was blown away, landing several feet from the tent.
All of them had prepared themselves to see his miserable appearance. However, other than his ugly pose, there was no bruise whatsoever.
'Internal wounds? The only way to avoid the succubus charm… Did they castrate him?' All of them thought the same thing as their eyes immediately wandered to his crotch.
"What is this?"
"Is this truly the treatment?"
"It won't be hurt? It's clear he's beaten up."
"This is a scam."
All of them complained, thinking their commander actually wanted them to die.
Luckily, the guy finally rose from the ground with a dumbfounded expression, taking off his blindfold.
"Eh? What happened to me?" The guy was confused at first and looked left and right, wondering why he got so many stares at him.
Raisa and several succubus approached him to check his body condition.
"Are you alright? Do you need anything?" One of the succubus arrived in front of him and asked, showing her concern.
However, the man simply tilted his head in confusion before anger took over. He was beaten up inside the tent after all.
"Shut up, ugly! Go away!" The man snarled.
"U-ugly?" The succubus was bewildered and took a step back. Her face became pale. In terms of appearance, she was beyond average. But the succubus charm truly increased people's opinion of her. This was also one of the reasons why succubus charm became their strength instead of a curse.
"Did he say the succubus is ugly?"
"No way. He might not be as beautiful as our commander, but she is, by no means, ugly."
"That's right."
"Wait a minute… Is the treatment successful then?"
Looking at the guy's reaction already told them that the charm wasn't effective anymore. After all, he wouldn't say ugly no matter how angry he was.
The succubus felt quite hurt as this was the first time people told her she was ugly and stepped back with a sad expression. "I'm ugly… I'm ugly…"
She kept chanting those words while looking down.
Even Raisa hit the guy's head with her sword.
"How dare you hit my he—" He turned around while snapping, but he couldn't finish his words when he saw the armored succubus behind him. There was only one person who had such an attire. It was Raisa, their supreme commander.
In fact, when he realized he was about to get angry at his commander, the color on his face disappeared, thinking he had fucked up.
Ignoring his remarks, Raisa asked with a cold tone. "Are you hurt anywhere?"
"That's right. I was—" He didn't say he was beaten because when he checked his body, nothing hurt. "Eh…"
The moment he noticed his body change, he pressed all over his body, finding no pain. "Eh? There's no pain?"
"No pain?"
"He's not beaten then?"
"Internal Injury? But there's no pain."
"The treatment must be quite special."
"How is your dick?"
"What did they do?"
The guy checked his body again, and nothing was removed.
Raisa took off her helmet, showing her beautiful face.
"Woo!"
"The supreme commander graces us with her beautiful face."
"Commander! I love you."
"Please marry me."
The people turned into an idiot the moment they got charmed by her beautiful face, but Raisa ignored them and asked the guy, "What do you think of me?"
"Ehm…" The guy hesitated for a second before nodding his head. "You are beautiful, extremely beautiful."
At that moment, he drew a gasp and realized he had a clear head in judging Raisa's appearance. He then turned to the other soldiers who became an idiot, wondering if he had the same reaction as them before the treatment.
As soon as she received the answer, Raisa put back her helmet, and the charmed soldiers gradually turned normal.
"Eh?!"
"What just happened?"
"I think that guy…"
"What did that guy do again?"
"He just sat down there without doing anything."
The soldiers soon realized the treatment was truly successful. The doubt in their heart had vanished.
Raisa's expression became extremely cold, and she said, "Now that you have seen the result of the treatment, is there any more objection?"
Her cold tone sent chills down their spines. Their bodies trembled and reacted on their own. They even shook their heads furiously for the answer.
It was at this time Raisa pulled out her sword while releasing her Magic Power. She looked at those who lined up at the very front and had taken off their blindfolds. "In that case, why haven't you put your blindfolds on yet?"
The soldiers were scared for their lives and immediately put on their blindfolds. They even tightened them as tight as possible.
"They are the special envoys. Whoever doubts them can go to me directly. Just be sure that the moment they're displeased by your action, Her Majesty has given me the authority to execute you on the spot." Raisa stated with a strict tone.
Even the succubus were scared as they also doubted Albert and the others at first. They gulped down and silently walked toward the entrance so they could help the people to go in.
Raisa turned to the succubus next to her and said, "You take care of the rest. The soldiers who have received their treatment can go back to their tent to rest. There won't be any side effects, but just in case, you can rest to prepare yourself for tomorrow.
"After all, I'm going to make you all work to the bone tomorrow. If you have a severe case, you're going to be treated in a different facility. Though, mostly it'll be at captain or commander level. It will also take days to deal with it.
"Anyway, just follow their instructions. They know the limits of what they can do. If you can't trust them, trust Her Majesty, who sent them. That's all." Raisa harrumphed and walked away to report to Lilith that the treatment was successful.
After that instruction, the treatment continued, and the screams kept rumbling in the camp. Yet, every time the person finished their treatment, they weren't hurt.
Even if they went to the healer in the camp, the latter would only say, 'You have nothing wrong in your body.'
The soldiers were confused because they clearly felt they were beaten by them.
Still, it was hard to control thousands of soldiers. They were bound to have one or two sneaky people who didn't care about the rules.
They sneakily tried to slightly move their blindfold so they could take a sneak peek at what happened.
However, their luck ran out at that point. Albert and the others caught his scheme and immediately sent him out.
At that time, Albert's voice filled with anger resounded across the camp, saying, "It seems the royal decree has no meaning to you."
Lilith already ordered Raisa personally to form a killing squad. Although it was merciless from normal perspectives, Albert's power was similar to that of a national secret and Albert's existence was a national treasure as well as Lilith's fiance, so it was normal for those who disregarded the warning to be executed.
Without hesitation, the moment they heard those words, the killing squad Raisa had assembled immediately killed him without letting him open his mouth.
It became a prime example that they shouldn't mess with the special envoys. And because of this one kill, the other soldiers were scared to do anything funny.
…
A few hours passed in a blink of an eye.
Raisa stood in front of the transmission mirror in her tent, talking to Lilith. "Yes. Everything is going according to plan. Although we found some rats, we'd executed them before they could say anything."
"Good." Lilith nodded with a calm expression, not caring about those who had lost their lives. She clearly had warned them, so it was their own fault. "How are the soldiers' conditions?"
"I have walked around to check around a hundred of them personally. It seems the treatment is working. There's no side effects too."
"That's good. According to Albert, they can stay that way for a few weeks to a month. Is that enough?"
"With their current condition, a few weeks should allow us to gain a huge advantage on the battlefield to the point I'm afraid the humans will unite if we don't hold back."
"Just get enough advantage and stop. We can't lose too many people right now because there might be a hidden threat from an unknown place." Lilith nodded.
"An unknown place?"
"Yeah. I got it from him too. Seriously, he always blew my mind…" Lilith smiled. However, it was easy to see how proud she was. "Anyway, continue the treatment… Ten thousand soldiers should be enough."
"Understood. We also haven't had our captains and commanders treated. Should we do it tomorrow?"
"Do it tonight because they will take around three days according to him. It's similar to how he sealed the slime king or the salamander… As for tomorrow, the treated soldiers are enough to give the humans a huge surprise that they won't bother to check our high-ranking soldiers."
"Understood." Raisa nodded with a serious expression.
"Good. I'll leave the arrangement to you."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
