Chapter 49-The Man Who Named Them Sanin!
Chapter 49
JIRAIYA-The Toad Sage
"Summoning Jutsu!"
And suddenly, he felt a massive chakra explosion right below him, and as he made sense of it, it was too late.
"Shit! He jumped off the ground, as it exploded.
BOOOM!
And a giant snake erupted from the ground, its mouth open and ready to devour him, and as it made to close its mouth, he opened his arms and legs, and pushed against its giant teeth, and forced its mouth wide open.
"Impressive," his old teammate added from the side, and he looked towards him. He used all his might to keep himself from ending up as Snake food.
Orochimaru was not doing so well himself as he stood there surrounded by the massive red internals of a giant toad, and he knew that if he moved an inch, the walls would close in on him and try to devour him.
"You are done, Orochimaru. You have nowhere to run," he shouted as he pushed his chakra into his limbs and opened the snake's mouth before he jerked it out and jumped up.
"AHHHH!" he screamed as chakra rushed to his hand, molding into a blue orb, as the Snake jerked in pain and agony and rushed towards him once more in revenge, yet he was unbothered as he pushed forward his own hand now holding a blue sphere of destruction.
"Ninpo: Rasengan!" he shouted as he smashed Minato's technique into the summon, as it was torn into shreds and sent back to the summoning realm in a cloud of smoke.
"I wouldn't be too sure of that," and he looked up and found Orochimaru smiling at him, as a floral structure rose from the ground and wrapped around him.
"You damn traitor," he snapped as he rushed towards him, as the cacoon closed off around Orochimaru, yet he was too late as he saw the cacoons close, as those golden eyes vanished behind that flower like plant.
"Stay and fight me you damned traitor. Do not run away like a coward." He taunted, yet Orochimaru just smirked as he whispered.
"See you soon," he said as Jraiya punched the whitish cacoon, only to not even be able to make a dent in it.
BOOOM!
It did not even budge, enraging him as he tried again to pry it open.
"ARGH!" he pushed chakra into his hand and punched it again, yet it did not budge, as he stepped back, angry and frustrated with this failure.
He looked at the structure trying to make sense of what it was, and he did not miss how it was similar to what they had found near Danzo.
"Sensei," he heard his name getting called out from behind and turned back and found the pale face of Konan staring at him as she stood over the bodies of Nagato and Yahiko, both of whom seemed to be in critical condition.
Orochimaru was gone, and he could not sense a shred of the bastard's chakra anymore. He could try going into sage mode, but there was not enough time.
In the end, he sighed as he walked towards his older students and began to examine Yahiko and Nagato.
Nagato's eyes had been gouged out, and the redhead had lost a lot of blood. He was in a better condition than Yahiko, who was suffering from severe charka exhaustion and seemed to be on the edge of his life.
"I have tried everything, but nothing seems to be working," Konan added weakly as she held Yahiko's arm, looking at him with worried yet hopeful eyes, the very same eyes that had made him help three little orphans from an enemy nation.
"Do not worry. He will be fine," he remarked as he reached into his pocket and took out a special scroll, one that had been given to him by Tsunade. He swirled it open and cycled through a sequence of seals as he placed his hand on the sealing formula and pushed his chakra.
"Unseal!" and with that, in a puff of smoke, an all too familiar creature emerged from the smoke, nearly the size of his arm. It was none other than apart from the last Great Summon of the infamous Three-Way Deadlock.
The infamous Slug, Katsuyu.
"Jiraiya-san, it is good to see you again after so long," the female summon greeted him kindly, unlike his own toads, as he greeted her back.
"It is good to see you as well, Katsuyu-sama," he said and saw it turn away from him.
"I believe I am in need of your help," he said and saw it move towards Yahiko, as it slid onto his body as Konan eyed it distrustfully.
It gleamed an ominous green.
"He has severe charka exhaustion and severe internal injuries. I could stabilize him for some time, but you are going to need a full-fledged iryo nin for this," she remarked, and he looked towards Konan.
"Do you have someone like that?" he asked, and she shook her head.
"No, our medics do not know iryo-ninjustus," she replied, making him grit his teeth.
"Stabilise him," he said, as he sensed a massive chakra signature rushing towards them, a signature he recognized quite well.
"And could you please have Tsunade come here through a reverse summon," he added before standing up and facing away in the direction of the massive chakra signature.
"I am afraid I might need her to get out of this mess," he added in a very serious tone as lightning crashed and in a blur, another figure appeared on the edge of the cliff, clad in a black cloak, his hair grey and his face obscured by an intricate mask.
"What are you doing here, Jiraiya of the Sanin?"
Hanzo The Salamander was here.

TSUNADE SENJU
Tsunade Senju was starting to understand that being Akihito's advisor was not going to be as easy as a task as one would think. His words and his actions were already a headache, and his premonition about this great enemy, or whatever, had her on edge.
Tsunade was not superstitious nor religious. She believed in sciences and cold, hard facts, yet one would have to be a fool to deny those things. And she was no fool.
And given what she had seen from Akihito, she was inclined to believe his words, so if the so-called enemy he spoke of was dangerous enough to destroy the very fabric of this world, then she was inclined to believe him.
And that was one reason why she was so angry with him when she found him, a daimyo, the leader of their country, engaged in a fight with a full-fledged jounin.
A young jounin, but a Uchiha prodigy the likes of which the village had not seen since Kagami Uchiha. Thankfully, she had been able to intervene in time before any lasting damage could be done, and now their daimyo was away in a council meeting with his advisors as the Castle prepared for the celebration of the Empress's pregnancy.
"I cannot believe it," she chastised the young Uchiha as she healed his wounds using her iryo ninjutsu, closing off the massive gnash on the young Uchiha's shoulders, dolled on by their young daimyo himself.
What the hell were you thinking about facing the daimyo in a fight? The daimyo!" she rebuked him as he looked at her helplessly.
"But he was the one who made me do it. He is the daimyo. What am I to do? Deny him?" the young Shisui tried to defend himself, and she knew firsthand just how impossible that was.
"I do not know, but you are not supposed to fight the damned daimyo. Do you have any idea of the implications? Had you injured him gravely, even in an accident during the fight, or if there was even a single mishap?" she asked him, and he seemed to realize his fault as he looked down.
"I was being careful. I am not an idiot," he added weakly, and she bit her lip as she sighed.
"I know. That is the only reason I am even healing you," she said as she finished the healing and looked at the long scar that ran down the young Shisui's shoulder before looking him in the eye.
"If you ever spar with him yourself or find him sparring with anyone else, inform me so that I may be present, or at least have the servants inform Kirin-san so she may be there. If we cannot be there, do not fight him. Do you understand?" she asked, and he nodded.
"I do," he replied as he moved his shoulder and began wearing his shirt again.
"Still, I never expected him to be so strong," he said, sounding impressed.
"I knew samurai were strong, but this I did not expect," he said, tracing the scar before he pulled down the shirt.
"I am not the strongest, but I do pride myself in my speed. It has been quite some time since someone has landed a hit on me like this," he said, and she scoffed.
"Most samurai are not as strong as this," she corrected him. She picked up the sake bottle and poured herself a cup, staring into the garden in front.
She had been given her own quarters in the castle, a massive room with a slew of servants, and a small cozy garden where she could grow medicinal and other plants.
"I would go on to say that there are five, maybe ten samurai as strong as our lord daimyo, and even amongst them, none as young as him," she added.
"But still, the only reason you got injured was because I disrupted your attack," she added.
"No," the Uchiha answered, surprising her as he plopped down by her side.
"Even without your intervention, I do not think I would have been able to defend against his technique. His blade, it was too fast, nearly approaching an inhuman level," he added, dazed, and she was shocked to hear that, yet could see the point.
She had seen this technique herself and had been quite surprised.
"We..." but she stopped as she suddenly felt a scroll in her pocket heat up, a scroll connected to the Summoning realm," and she reached for it instantly, getting rid of the alcohol in her body using her chakra as she slid it open, and bit into her thumb.
"Summoning Jutsu," she uttered as she placed her hand on the formula, and in a puff of smoke, Katsuyu appeared.
"What happened?" she asked.
"Jiraiya-sama needs your help."
