Prince and His Fool

Chapter 67: Go Catch Your Future Husband

Kepa intensely studied them before saying, "Such handsome men, you are the most striking group of men I have ever encountered," venerating them to Rong Zian's astonishment. What was the troll king's purpose? "Especially that one," he said pointing at Rong Zian with a malicious grin.

Rong Zian was in disbelief thus looked left and right around him, as though looking for other people other than the three of them, before pointing at himself, "You mean me?"

Wu Yange moved in front of Rong Zian blocking King Kepa's view with a threatening dark expression that had no effect on the boisterous king. Seeing this the troll king laughed again and his attends subtly moved one more inch further.

"Let's make a deal, I will give you the fragment," he said with the object hovering above his dirty palm, "if one of you marries my daughter."

Rong Zian peeked from behind Wu Yange's back and couldn't help saying, "That depends on her looks, maybe we'll sacrifice Ying Tie," while pointing at the brawny man.

"You!" yelled Ying Tie but was speechless, he absolutely no come back.

"Why not you?" asked the king while tilting his head to get a clear view of the heavily guarded Rong Zian.

Letting out a subtle chuckle, he replied, "I am taken so I can't." This response had Wu Yange biting on his lower lip with a bashful smile and a twinkle in his eye.

King Kepa sneered and signalled for his daughter to come out and so goes the saying like father like daughter. "Not happening," mumbled Ying Tie suddenly wishing Wu Fan was here.

"I see you have clearly made your choice," he said as the army of a thousand trolls drew their bows arming in their direction. "You go catch your future husband," whispered King Kepa to his daughter before getting into the sedan leaving the line of fire.

She nodded her head in agreement side-eyeing her target. Wu Yange didn't waste any time activating his sapphire flame with Houyan and Huore circulating their serpentine-bodies behind him in attack mode. Li Wei let out a clanging sound in excitement as the flames spread from its hilt to the tip of its frame. Wu Yange conjured fiery flames in his hands in standby mode while instructing Ying Tie below him. "Protect him till his power activates," he said before a thousand arrows covered the sky.

Circular stormy clouds with a vortex gathered up in the once blue skies with the twin dragons roaring as they descended upon the trolls who were still in a daze. None of them had witnessed this kind of phenomenon before but they had heard rumours of the eighth prince with flaming dragons. The twins eagerly burnt to ashes everything they came in contact with, in a synchronised motion like a mesmerising dance. Li Wei fought alongside its master sending blazing arcs of fire with every slashing motion.

Wu Yange barely needed to do anything as he vaporised the arrows coming in his direction. On the ground, Ying Tie was fighting off some trolls that had decided on close combat. He had met his match as the troublesome trolls were stubbornly strong and relentless in their attacks. A flood of trolls went after him as a form of destruction as the princess covertly lunged at Rong Zian but she failed to grab hold of him. Rong Zian had sensed her coming giving him time to move out of the way but he underestimated the troll's desire to catch him.

He bolted constantly looking back at the highly determine troy gaining up, on him. "Shit! Shit! Activate damn it," he yelled at himself running as his life depended on it. "It's a fuckin' emergency you dumb fuck!" but his other persona seemed deaf as though finding the show amusing.

"Activate your power!" yelled a frustrated Ying Tie while stumping on a troll.

"You think I am not fuckin' trying! Back off!" he replied, his yelling had effectively attracted Wu Yange's attention as he sent Li Wei to protect him blasting a fiery flame at the princess. She wailed in pain instantly vaporised. Rong Zian finally stopped to catch his breath with Li Wei fending off other trolls who wanted to revenge for their fallen princess.

Wu Yange was effectively gaining ground but was oblivious to the impending danger. Wu Yinyou was standing on a mountain top with a great view of the battle with the trolls. Her face was covered in silk scarf hiding he ugly burn scar left by Wu Yange, she was here for payback. She could never beat Wu Yange in direct combat and had to resort to such a method.

She dipped the arrowhead into the same poison she had used on Rong Zian. But because she had used all of it on her previous victim, she had to scrape the bottle as though scraping for the last bit of peanut butter. It wasn't a lot but for Wu Yange it was effective enough to kill him. She drew the string of her bow and released the futile arrow powered by some of her spiritual energy.

Wu Yange sensed the arrow coming closer and his dragons hurried to stop it burning off the wooden part of the arrow but the arrowhead slipped past the dragons plunging straight into Wu Yange's abdomen. If the arrow had none of Wu Yinyou's spiritual energy, it wouldn't even have the chance to get near him. He groaned in pain instantly paralysed deactivating his sapphire flame looking straight at Wu Yinyou who was grinning with an eerie smile before instantly disappearing.

Rong Zian's heart sank as he saw Wu Yange plummeting to the ground at light speed. In a panic, his power activated and leapt into the sky grabbing hold of Wu Yange.

Rong Zian's vision was constantly blacking out as he struggled with his other persona to take charge. For the first time, he was partially conscious with his power activated. His other persona didn't seem to know what to do with a panicking face. If he didn't do something fast, this persona might make an impulsive decision and go on a violent rampage to avenge for Wu Yange before saving the prince.
