Chapter 18: A She-Wolf Appears!
"Mithras! As a man, don't you feel the least bit ashamed for making such an outrageous request?!" Enraged by Mithras' demand, Cassandra snapped.
"Why should a man feel ashamed for wanting to make the world a better place for himself? On the contrary, I have never felt manlier than today!
And it is for all the men of the world that I am doing this!
Day and morning, evening and afternoon all I hear is how difficult it is to be a woman! But do you have any idea of how hard it is to be a man? If you knew, you wouldn't be blaming me...for wanting to make the world fairer to us!
One moment she wants babies, next thing you know the bitch is cursing you for making her pregnant. 'Wahh, I want apples.' You bring the apples she don't want apples no more. Now it's pretzels, then it's bananas. Sweet and sour, all changing at a whim! Then she's screaming and acting a fool for nothing! Finding problems when you seek peace and making your life miserable. But the man sucks it up and stays supportive every step of the way.
That's the man's side of a pregnancy! Something no one talks about. And that's just one example among many of the constant struggles men endure!
There is nothing stronger than a man in this world! But I do not want to be strong! I want to have it easy! My position is clear, and I won't budge an inch!" Mithras went off, leaving Cassandra speechless.
"Is this how you...love me?"
"Who says that if I love you I gotta stuff you? We can go on a thousand dates, share common interests, hugs and kisses—just no tongue or dick because I am a firm believer in platonic love wherever financial interests don't converge. And dear Cassandra, our financial interests are looking pretty divergent right now!"
"Y-you..."
"Me what? Am I lost? I'm right here. In your face. Staring you in the eyes and telling you that if you want me in your bed...you gotta pay what you owe!" Mithras said in a loud and direct tone, pulling a paper note out of his spatial ring, and slamming it at his feet.
"Six years of unpaid labor. Two sessions of delicious pounding. Dozen counts of orgasms and liters of cock-milk.
I'm giving you the fingering as a freebee and not counting my first three years of work because back then, you were still treating me right. But you gotta pay the rest in full, or we will switch to hand-holding. Your call."
At every opportunity, in every dream, Mithras wondered how he'd start selling his services and prepared for this day. All that preparation erupted this very instant, putting Cassandra at a loss.
He was serious. This wasn't a joke. If she didn't pay his fees, they would switch to platonic love!
But in the real world, how many could be satisfied with that type of relationship? And even if she was that type of person, after tasting Mithras' divine rod and Human Aphrodisiac talent, there is no way that Cassandra could live without his meat!
Just standing so close to him was filling her with the urge to jump on his dick and mount him till he stuffed her hole with a million babies!
Biting her lips, the Astalon matriarch balled up her fist, trembling as she picked up Mithras' paper note to read his fees.
"2...2.2 million ener crystals? Oooooh," Barely had Cassandra read the note that she suffered a dizzy spell, passing out on the spot.
Not expecting such an extreme reaction, Mithras scratched his head, covering Cassandra in velvet sheets, before leaping off the bed.
'Mhm...I thought the price was fair. System, do you think it was excessive?'
<Think? The System doesn't think and has neither emotions nor desires.>
'Ok, just give me an objective analysis.'
<Ok. Objective analysis...started>
<Dude...the fuck? Do you think ener crystals grow on trees? Even the headmistress of the Red Cloud Theocracy only makes 400,000 ener crystals a year. Where is she going to find 2.2 million?>
<Objective analysis...completed> The system answered without delay, making black lines form on Mithras' forehead. The Wisdom of the Slithering Emperor kicked in, supporting some of the system's words.
'Nah...you're all being soft. If we had to put a price on the Wrathful God Fire, it would be in the hundreds of millions. The Human Aphrodisiac talent would cost in the billions. She had access to both and six years of absolute control over my life.
My price is fair. However, it is indeed out of reach. So...if she can pull this off, I might give her the Free Access Card!' With this thought in mind, little Mithras left Cassandra's courtyard, returning to his one-bedroom apartment in Arian's courtyard.
Now sitting cross-legged in meditation, Mithras joined his hands in a mudra, activating the forbidden meditation technique he'd received from the system: the Immolation Curse.
In a whirl of orange flames, a white candle appeared—floating at Mithras' chest. The Immolation Mark he'd left on Arian activated the moment next, turning the fallen noble into a human furnace.
Thankfully...or unfortunately for Arian, the Green Emperor Seal protected him at all times—keeping the last hp he needed to stay alive.
Meanwhile, Arian's lifeforce lit up the candle, conjuring a small whirlwind of orange flames that tempered the Human Aphrodisiac's flesh. Mithras' templar rank rose to the third level of Flame Refinement, climbing two levels while his guru rank improved by 50 units—now at 450.
Sadly, while the Green Emperor Seal made Arian unkillable, it didn't give him infinite life force, meaning that Mithras would have to wait for Arian to regenerate before using him again.
Still, these were decent gains, and satisfied, Mithras formed another hand sign, unleashing his Wrathful God Fire. This time around, however, the flames split into three fireballs: red, dark, and white.
The red flame represented Divine Power. The dark flame carried the deity's capricious authority. And the white flames granted the ability to perform minor miracles.
Most divine flames only offered one or two of these abilities. But as Mithras' flame came from a top-ranking Antigod, he always had the three...but was limited to the Red and Dark Flames till the system unlocked his dragon mutation.
All three flames united in Mithras' heart, climbing towards his brain and unlocking...the first Divine Secret!
<Hidden Quest: One-Man Brothel...triggered>
<Cassandra has left to collect the host's money, and will soon officially make you an escort>
<By the time she returns, the host must have a list of prices and services ready for the system to prepare proper rewards and future quests>
<The host has unlocked the first Divine Secret and become a sage>
<Ero Sage title...applied>
<Ero Sage (title): Gurus who have unlocked at least one Divine Secret are known as Sages, to be honored by all throughout the Spiritual World—in theory, at least.
Following each enlightenment, a Sage can enter one of the Seven Corrupt Worlds and Six Divine Lands to strengthen their spiritual powers and seek the guidance of deities. But as an Ero Sage, you can only progress by receiving the guidance, love, and protection of Goddesses.
Note that unlike other Sages, you can keep returning to planes you've visited already and don't have to leave your mortal body behind.
When you're ready, the system will take you to the first Corrupt World: Atala>
"Amaz..." A series of system prompts echoed in Mithras' mind. But as the Human Aphrodisiac was about to leap from joy at all these gains, a sweet and consuming floral scent reached his nose, making his skin flush as his cock hardened in his pants.
Mithras' eyes stretched wide, and he dropped to his knees, holding his shoulders as his body temperature rose to extreme levels.
"Finally. I thought she'd never leave." A melodious voice came from the entrance, and the door opened wide, revealing one of the Astalon junior ladies.
The moment next, that lady's appearance changed completely, becoming a riveting young woman with dark-blue hair held in a ponytail, thin red lips, and a mesmerizing pair of sapphire eyes.
But while those eyes sparkled like angelic gems, as the newcomer stared at him, Mithras felt like a lamb pinned under the claws of a drooling wolf.
Not the best feeling in the world.
