My Second Life in Another World

Chapter 414: Transformation?

Chapter 414: Transformation?

[I do what I want to, Get lost!!] He still wanted to fight more with the ichthyosaurs army because, [Don't interrupt my cool one-man army moment. I am bout to solo this bitch!!!!]

"Son of a..." Alea's face twitched as she heard him cackling wildly. She didn't like him ignoring orders but...

'Should I just leave him be?' Alea thought it was way more troublesome to deal with this lunatic when he became like this and, 'No one will care if he dies, I think?' she was having a dangerous thought even if she was half joking.

But as much as she would like to do this, there was a reason why she couldn't do this.

And the one who told her of this reason was...

"Alea give me the phone for a minute..." Jin-ah came in with a sweet smile on her face after hearing what was going on. "Hmm?" Alea looked at her, and she already knew what was about to happen.

"Here, you handle him," Alea and Jin-ah were the two who made most of this plan, because Queresha wanted them to learn from this.

And depending on how well it did, there would be a silent acknowledgment or hellish sermons that would make their ears fall off, and then there would be a hellish training regime with the Two Demonic Teachers later.

And there was no way Jin-ah wanted any of that after going through so much trouble, what she wanted was some good spicy fried chicken with cola, which wouldn't be given to her if something happened here because of this idiot.

That is why....

"Listen here Nam-woon, if you do not return to your previously assigned position within 10 minutes, I will contact Queresha Unnie and you know the rest, right~?" Jin-ah smiled but those words made even Alea sweat, since that was something she didn't wish on herself.

The only person Alea, Jin-ah, and Nam-woon were scared of was Queresha, and Nam-woon was especially terrified of her after he got a taste of her training regime.

So, it was a no-brainer that this caused...

"I am sorry for being inconsiderate my esteemed superiors," Nam-woon's character to be flipped, "I shall not cause any further inconveniences to your esteemed selves, and reach where I am supposed to be. I bid you both fair ladies an eventful evening." That was all and the phone was disconnected.

And a minute later they got a photo from Nam-woon, who had reached his previously assigned position.

"That was a good move Jin-ah," Alea gave her a thumbs up, she actually didn't want to go through the trouble herself because she knew that Queresha would deal with Nam-woon when the report reached her.

'But we'd be rounded up as well for not being able to take care of this guy,' Alea shook her head, this was the reason they couldn't leave him alone.

"Well, now we know that this can work on him as well," Jin-ah was just trying this out just in case they need it in the future, and it worked splendidly.

"Also where are those two?" Jin-ah asked, and Alea understood who she was talking about.

"I sent them ahead with the moving squad, one of them has a good ability for that kind of labor," Jin-ah nodded at Alea's words before smiling since that was a good move.

"I wonder what their reaction is to the current state of this side," She was dying to go back home to get proper rest, and Alea also had a smug smile hearing this, but...

"We are still in development, a lot of things haven't been set straight yet," Alea was happy that her hard work would be admired by so many people, and this would show them what are the advantages of joining their group, but, "It will take a while before we get proper rest." Jin-ah nodded to her words with a sour expression.

But they had to stop their talk, as Haru and the others approached.

"I'll get the car," Alea went first and now it was time, for Haru to return to his house in this world.

***

And while Haru was on the bridge, Soo-young and Dok-ja were inside a truck traveling the streets of Oksu.

"They really have trucks running on the road?!"

"Woah! How did they repair the roads?"

"Yeah, it is so fucking smooth,"

"It is impressive that they got working trucks,"

There were all sorts of exclaims all around the two, as all they could do was just sit and ponder.

'We are... in a truck..... going to Hannam The Hill,' The two were just as confused if not more confused than most people here.

But while most people were taken in by this difference that was between the south and north parts of Seoul, these two were more confused because of this and their knowledge from the book didn't match.

If the novel was anything to go by, Seoul's current condition should be a ruined city with not even one percent of its population remaining. The infrastructure should be gone, the buildings should be on fire, and monsters should be running around the place as humans survive this place by the skin of their teeth.

"What the hell is going on?" Soo-young muttered, since now they were traveling in a truck, on smooth roads, transporting computers.

Like what the hell happened?

"I don't know," Dok-ja was just as lost, how come there were trucks, in the current Seoul, driving through the streets smoothly?

They had to think about it thrice because of how weird it was.

Not to mention that the two of them had seen the previous condition of this area, and because of that, this whole change looked even more ridiculous.

'Well, it isn't that there is no damage here,' Dok-ja had noticed the streets, and he could see traces of previous damage, not to mention most of the buildings were still in ruins.

It was just that all of the debris was moved out of the way, before they patched the roads for easy transportation.

'I still don't get how they got the damn truck!' Soo-young was fixated on the wrong thing as there was a bigger problem.

'What about the monsters?' Dok-ja really wondered if it was safe to drive trucks and cars around these streets, since they could get attacked.

"Did they lose their mind or...." Soo-young had also caught up to that, and thankfully there was someone with them who could answer their question.

"The monsters around this place were killed and then there were groups who were sent Parol the roads and the places around the base," Gil-young answered in order to soothe Dok-ja's anxiety, "I helped keep watch while other people cleaned the trash."

"You mean Patrol?" Dok-ja asked and Gil-young nodded, he had unknowingly mispronounced a word, but his point got across and...

"They did all of that in that short amount of time?" Soo-young could believe this, since that amount of transformation was too much for the window of time they had.

"How much area did you guys clear?" Dok-ja asked this question because...

'They can't have done a lot,' The days that have passed since he separated from the group weren't that many, and if this type of cleaning had been done it has to be concentrated on a specific area.

"We focused on this road and the base first," Gil-young confirmed his thoughts because, with the limited time, the efforts can only be concentrated on a few places.

'How could they use that much time and manpower on this?' Dok-ja was wondering what was going on with Haru's group, 'Have they already prepared for the upcoming scenario at all?'

This was more concerning since Haru's group was increasing in size, and given how they operated...

'Is the group operating properly?' With the shortage of resources at this moment, the larger the group the harder it was to maintain it.

There is food, living area, and many other conditions to think about, not to mention that from what he understands most of the group is formed by integrating other groups into the fold.

'There is a high chance that they can get plotted against after these groups get what they want or if they get dissatisfied,' Dok-ja knew that it could sound a bit too extreme, but he had seen it happen in the novel. And there was no guarantee that it would not happen to them.

'Even if nine of the ten groups they took in were good, one bad one can cause more problems than it is worth,' Dok-ja knew that he couldn't actually stop Haru's group from going in the direction they wanted, 'I should at least look around just in case.' Of course, it isn't that he was suddenly feeling indebted to them or anything like that.

It was just that...

'It would be better to return the score to zero,'
