Chapter 87: Failing Miserably.
Monia failed by staying awake an entire night, she thought. Somewhere in the day, the woman had fallen asleep. “Why am I such a fuckup?” She thought with an upset tone.
In reality, it wasn’t her fault at all. Risa had slipped a sleeping drug into Monia’s drink, which is why she ended up passing out. Of course, her not sleeping… didn’t help the outcome at all.
Claire: “Monia… Melissa ended up killing Risa…” Her words didn’t reach the woman at all.
“Oddly, the outcome changed… This time, Risa died, and not Melissa.” She thought with a broken tone. Regardless of not having the memories, Monia was still the same as before her wish was made.
Emotionlessly, Monia walked over to the same maid, and did just the same before, killing herself, and magically waking up the previous day. “This time… I won’t mess up!” She thought with a serious tone.
Like her last reset day, it played out the same. The same… the same… reality was seemingly out to get her. Regardless of how well she tried, one of her wives would die, and she would kill herself. Over and over again… nonstop.
Thud!
Monia: “…”
Breaking into a room, Monia saw the lifeless body of one of her wives. This time it was Melissa dead on the ground. “So… this grand building… is where they decided to kill each other?” She thought with a sigh.
The room was seemingly used for just sparring, perhaps fencing, was Monia’s thoughts on the matter.
Risa: “Monia…” Her voice was weak as can be, which was odd, as she had just killed another person without remorse just seconds ago. “She wasn’t supposed to show up so soon…” She thought with a terrified tone.
Melissa had already died from her various gunshot wounds, but Monia still walked over to her, anyway. Putting her hand on the body, Monia was deeply hurt to find Melissa cold as ice.
Risa: “From now on… I will make you happy, okay? There is no way that a happy ending exists that you desire, one where you’re with us both.” She said with a remorseful tone.
Monia: “It exists, I am sure of it.” She replied with a shake of her head, standing up from the ground, and walking over to Risa.
Risa: “…You sound so calm… Why?” She asked, confusion evident upon her face.
Monia: “I’ve lost count… How many times have I had to know of your or Melissa’s death? I keep trying, over and over, but I can’t even make it here in time… Say… what can I do? How should I convince you both to not let this happen?” She asked with tears in her eyes.
Risa: “…”
Monia didn’t want an answer, as this was something that she would discover through her own efforts. Instead… it was just a distraction. While the woman, Risa, was dazed, Monia took her handgun, and used it to end her life once more. “Next time…” Was the last thought in her head before it was destroyed by a bullet.
