Chapter 62 – Suppliers.
Rias welcomed Rudeus, Eris, and Ruijerd, and the three of them entered the hotel. They also met another person they had never seen before, who was Nazuna. When they had gone there for the first time, the receptionist had been Shelly.
They were surprised by all the changes. Especially Rudeus, as he noticed the air conditioners. The climate inside was very pleasant, unlike outside, which was hot even though it was night.
"Where's Nahida? I need to talk to him about something." Rudeus asked Rias. While he was talking to her, Eris and Ruijerd were talking to Nazuna about the rooms.
"Nahida? He must be in his room at the moment. Ah, here he is." Nahida appeared soon after. He had received a message from Yuki for him to go to the convenience store to talk to the manager.
"Rudeus?"
"Hello again." Rudeus scratched his head. "So, about the tickets you gave me..."
"You didn't put them anywhere, did you? I figured it. But you still have them with you?"
"Yes, I have them all here. Do you want them back?"
"Well, I'd like you to put my hotel in a few cities if possible, but since you don't want to do that..."
"Listen. I can do that." Rudeus nodded. "I was worried that something would happen, but I'll do it."
"I won't force you into anything. Ah, it's Eris and Ruijerd. Welcome back." Nahida brushed past Rudeus and walked over to the reception desk where the two were standing. Ruijerd smiled and greeted Nahida while Eris looked at Rudeus for help.
The first time she had come to the hotel, she hadn't talked much with Nahida. Well, a small girl shouldn't be so comfortable around older men.
Nahida didn't care about that. He put his hand on her head and ruffled her hair.
"Welcome. Enjoy your room and bath. The food will be ready in a little while. Ah, Rudeus, when I get back, we'll talk. I have something to do now."
"Oh, right, that's fine. I'll wait for you at one of the tables."
Nahida left his hotel to go to the convenience store.
After he left, Rudeus paid for two rooms. One for Rudeus and Ruijerd and one for Eris. Then Rias took the three of them to one of the tables, and they sat down. They sat down next to a table that was full of goblins.
They were different goblins from what they were used to. They hadn't realized that Nazuna was a goblin, unlike the three goblins sitting at the next table. They were worried at first, but the three goblins greeted them amicably.
They calmed down after that.

When Nahida arrived at the store entrance, Yuki was leaving. He was getting his bicycle. He didn't live far from there but always rode his old bike to work.
"See you, Yuki."
"See you," Yuki replied and then pedaled away. He acted as shy as ever. He was timid and didn't know how he could improve it. He even tried but couldn't.
Nahida realized how antisocial he was. He thought he should help Yuki with this in the future. But now he had something more important to do.
Nahida entered the store and found an old man wearing an apron restocking the shelves. His gray hair was sparse, and he was almost bald, unlike his beard, which was long.
The man turned and saw Nahida approaching.
"Ah, Nahida, you've finally arrived."
"Good evening, Mr. Matsunada. How are you?"
"I'm fine. Just a bit of pain in my back, but nothing that bothers me too much."
"I see." Nahida began to help Matsunada so that he could finish putting everything on the shelves as quickly as possible. When they had finished, Matsunada thanked Nahida and went to the back of the store to get two glasses of tea.
He also brought two chairs for the two of them to sit on near the store's main counter.
"Yuki told me about what you want to do. I never imagined that you were the kind of man who would be interested in opening a store like this. If I had to give you one advice... Don't do it."
"Hm?"
"The number of convenience stores throughout Japan is huge. If you put one in the center of a big city, you won't have any customers. And putting a store in a small town isn't very profitable either."
"You're not making much profit?"
"Hahahaha, I haven't made a profit since I opened this store. But I don't want to close it. I've had it for many years. Besides, who would sell things to the older people who live in this area?"
Nahida understood that. Most of the residents in that area were old. Nahida was one of the youngest. Yuki was also a rare case of a young man deciding to live in that isolated area.
"I see. But I'd still like to try."
"Well, it was just advice. I don't want to stop you from pursuing your dream."
"I wouldn't say it's a dream, hahaha. My hotel isn't making much profit, so I decided to open a market to make some money."
"Hm... I haven't seen a single customer visit your hotel in days."
"Ah, yes... The situation isn't very good." Nahida smiled bitterly. No customers from his world were coming to his hotel, but he did have customers from other worlds using his hotel.
But Matsunada had no way of knowing that.
"All right. I'll give you a list of contact numbers I wrote down in a notebook. I always save the numbers. It also says what products those suppliers offer, so you don't have to worry."
"Thank you very much, Mr. Matsunada."
"No need to thank me. But before you go, how about a game of checkers?"
"Well, I guess that's fine."
When Nahida started playing checkers with Matsunada, he had another great idea.
