Chapter 47 – Menu.
Nahida went back to his hotel and put on a suitable outfit. He put on a light shirt and short shorts. Now that he was dressed in clothes that wouldn't make him die of heat in Rimuru's world, he could help them.
"Nazuna, I'm leaving."
"Again?"
"I'm going there to help Rimuru prepare for the festival. Can you open the door for me please?"
"Sure." Nazuna promptly got up and opened the door for Nahida.
"I'll be back in a few hours. Joulan, protect this hotel very well, understand?"
"Don't worry." Joulan nodded. He had a serious, penetrating look. Nahida gave a satisfied smile and closed his hotel door.
As he walked down the street, Nahida was greeted by several monsters, which made him very happy. The monsters had started getting used to him, which was good. The more trust he gained, the more customers would come to his hotel.
"Rimuru, I'm back. What do you want me to do?"
"I want you to help me with the stalls and also help me choose the menu to serve during the festival."
"I'm not very good when it comes to food. Why didn't you tell me before? I could have asked the chef who works in my kitchen for help."
"But would he know what to do with ingredients from this world? It's a bit different from Japanese ingredients, you know. We've already prepared a lot of ingredients, so I don't want you to buy, I don't want to waste anything."
"The vegetables are pretty similar, aren't they? There's also fish and salt. The only different thing is probably the meat. You don't have cows here, do you?"
"We do. Not a cow like you have on earth, but there's a magical beast called the 'Cowdeer' that's quite similar. It produces milk and the meat is also very good."
"Ah, I see." Nahida hadn't remembered that, so he was surprised. "Well, if the ingredients are so similar, asking Lucky for help is okay. What do you think? Should I call him to come and help?"
"Won't that get in the way of your business? He's probably busy."
"Don't worry about it. Lunchtime is a long way off and the customers already have breakfast."
"Well, if that's the case, I'll accept Lucky's help. But before you go, we should talk about the stalls. What do you think?" Rimuru showed Nahida a piece of paper with some drawings and writing.
They were game stalls. There were even target shooting stalls. It was just like the games at festivals in Japan.
"I think that's good enough."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure."
"All right... You can go now."
"Now? My help is no longer needed?"
"I just wanted you to confirm that this was good enough. But after you get back, you'll have to do hard work."
"You will too, won't you?"
"..."
"You fucking slime."
"All right, return to your hotel and get that chef, we need him. The festival needs to be ready by tomorrow night, understand?"
"We don't have much time then."
"We have a lot of people working, so I think everything will be fine."
Nahida noticed that a few orcs were already carrying large pieces of wood to build the sales and games stalls. With the amount of monsters working, they will probably finish hours ahead of schedule.

Nahida returned to the hotel, and Nazuna was surprised he had returned so quickly. "Are you back already? Did you give up on helping Rimuru and the others?"
"That's not it. Rimuru wanted a quality menu for his festival, so I offered Lucky to help him. I'm taking Lucky with me."
"Me?" Lucky appeared. "What do you mean you're taking me? Where?"
"To the world of Rimuru. I told you I'd lend you for him. You will create a quality menu for the festival. Don't you want to do that?"
"It's not that I don't want to, but is it okay?"
"What do you mean?"
"I've never left this hotel before, are you sure it's going to be okay? I think something bad might happen as soon as I leave." Listening to Lucky, Nahida began to worry a little. Something really could happen.
Maybe Lucky would cease to exist since he was only created to stay at the hotel.
"Since you don't want to leave, why don't you create the dishes here? You can use the hotel kitchen for that. Before I came, I took the list of ingredients." Nahida handed the list to Lucky. Luckily, he could read it.
"I've never heard of these ingredients before."
"They're similar to what I buy at the market. The only difference is their names. Let's go to the kitchen, I'll help you."
"Right." Lucky nodded. He was confident.
To Rimuru's chagrin, Nahida didn't return to help that day.

When it was time for bed, Nahida and Lucky had finally finished. They had created the perfect menu for a Japanese-style festival. There was even takoyaki.
"It's finally done." Nahida wiped the sweat from his forehead and put his hand on Lucky's shoulder. "Good job, Lucky, you did a great job."
"Thanks for the compliment." Lucky bowed, and Nahida left the kitchen.
'That was tiring.' The guests started arriving for dinner while creating the menu, so Nahida had to help Lucky in. In other words, he worked much harder than planned.
He thought Lucky would do most of the work, but he was wrong.
"I just hope the customers weren't bothered by the food. I'm afraid I've ruined the food." Nahida took a cold shower and left his room. When he arrived at the reception, Nazuna was getting ready to leave.
"Nazuna, wait, I'll go with you. The dishes for the festival are ready, I want Rimuru to come and have a look."
"Sure, we'll go together." Nazuna gave a big smile. Joulan was there, but she couldn't wait to walk alongside Nahida.
