Chapter 48: No more regrets
"I recommend you stay here for at least a week," KongFu's analysis ended and the first words he said were exactly those. He had yet to check how exactly the Azure Lake's chambers worked, but it didn't look like it would kick them away any time soon.
The monke nodded, "I will! It's fun to fight against myself and I think I am making progress already!" Michu brightly smiled, drank the potion, and looked over his wounds with a bright expression. His exuberant body steamed as the medicine kicked in.
KongFu looked over closing wounds, "Even though you get beaten, you still smile and look forward to it, hmm."
"Of course! I see progress! How could I not like it?" Michu had been learning how to hold staff properly. After he learned it, KongFu told him to fight the water reflection. Not so surprisingly, Michu fared far better.
It didn't bring him that closer to success, though. The monke still needed to learn a lot and one of the things was proper muscle usage! Many believed that they shifted their whole weight while wielding a sword or any other weapon, but it would often be just a delusion. In Michu's case, he lacked both form and stamina control.
"I didn't know you could use stamina as an additional force! Hehe," Michu's big eyes needed more explanation, but KongFu was heavily limited as well. In his time, the players and the system weren't in the world yet.
He had to learn a lot of things, but the black magic was no problem so far for him, "You don't even have 1% of your strength in your world. Isn't it obvious you can't use it here?"
"I didn't think about it, but I am glad you have arrived to teach me about it!" Michu replied.
KongFu just shook his head, but he liked how Michu didn't stop himself from asking any question. Hubris was like an enemy for this monke. The previous monkey god caressed his chin, then turned his eyes to Yakuzan.
He said, "All you have to do is train with water reflections. It will polish your abilities, increase your grade, or at least your own understanding, then I will teach you more tricks later. The question is what do you want this monkey to do?"
Michu blinked his eyes, "It's Yakuzan's decision what he wants to do. I can share my ideas with him, though! Yakuzan, do you want to?"
Yakuzan nodded and sat down, "Uhu!"
"Hehe!" Michu rubbed his nose, then repeated what Venomous told him, "We need a tank! You have strong muscles and a tough body, so you can survive many techniques head-on and allow me to come closer to the enemies!" That was it.
KongFu cut in, "He can't wear a shield." Yakuzan ignored these words, though.
He stood up, bowed to Michu, then his muscles puffed. A faint aura oozed out of him, then flowed back to the water reflection.
"Eh, what did you do, Yakuzan?" Michu asked, but KongFu was the one to explain.
"He has seen your progress. For a fool that doesn't speak a common language or lacks humanoid form, he is pretty smart. He knows that you will be the one leading him soon," KongFu nodded with approval.
"Yakuzan! Are you sure?" Michu asked, but Yakuzan just glanced and nodded. His muscles let out an aura that was basically his speed form. The inheritance from the Azure lake trembled, then Michu's reflection became even faster.
This made Michu blank, but then he giggled, "If I am about to get the tough defenses out of this inheritance, then I will pass it to you, Yakuzan! Be ready to fight your reflection!" The monke giggled, making KongFu's palm hit his forehead.
He didn't voice out his thoughts, but the old man would love to see Michu's defenses increase naturally through this inheritance. However, the mutual gleam of respect within these two hadn't disappeared and Michu shared what would be his soon.
"Okay! Let's fight!" All healed up. Michu stood up. His ear twitched, "I will be relying on you, KongFu!"
"Yeah," Nothing more had to be said. Michu listened to all the advice and followed them attentively. The monkey god's knowledge and pointers and the water reflection that was a worthy opponent ended up as one of the most valuable experiences for Michu!
His Mythic Class was just getting started!
-
[Michu: Please, don't wait for me! I am going to spend a lot of time here! Hehe, this is a really great place! Sadly, you aren't here with me, Sandra! Look, there are water reflections that help me with training and I can't get enough of it! I will send you a video later!]
This message was as if on repeat mode within Alexandra's mind.
She lay in her VR Capsule, her eyes widely opened while looking at the ceiling in her room. It was just afternoon, but her room was dark and if not for the lights from the VR capsule, then she wouldn't even see the opened lid.
Though her mind had one thing within, Alexandra's chest heaved. She looked pained for what happened and clearly regretted her decision. Her hand soon went up and Alexandra slowly left the capsule.
Looking at her room and the mess it concealed, Alexandra decided to clean it up. She first opened the windows and reacted like a scared kitten to the sun invading her room.
"..."
A lot of people were passing by her house, their eyes glued either to the phones or just looking ahead. Some glanced at Sandra who stood lost in thoughts. Her complexion was pale, but the sun blessed her with a different, charming look.
All those people instantly became forgotten by her, "I can't remember those idiots at all." Rather than those idiots who whispered various mean things behind her back, Sandra's mind had been blooming with Michu's words.
His words deeply crept into her heart. Even those before the Azure Forest had left some deep meaning within Alexandra.
She turned around, "I still hate the sun, though." With a faint smile, Alexandra began to clean up the mess in her room. An hour later, her mother's voice rang out from below, "Alexandra! Are you still in-game? Dinner is ready!"
"I am not!" Alexandra replied loudly, then added, "I will eat... with you..."
"What?!" If the house could jump, then it would along with the hearts of Alexandra's mother and father who were shocked to hear their daughter leaving the house! As the nerd, Alexandra often took dinners to her room and just ate alone.
Now, she went downstairs and looked at her parents with a faint blush, "Don't make such a noise..." Her sister wasn't here, but that was a matter for another time. Alexandra knew the house would jump again, though.
Her mother probed, "Was it, Jacob?"
"He is probably taking a nap, right now, mom," Alexandra replied stoically, but when her mother leaped and whispered to her husband 'It must be another man!' a blush crept onto her cheeks.
Both parents froze, then laughed out loud, "Haha! It's been a long while since I could see you smiling like that, Alexandra! Oh, do you want us to hide this? Your big sister won't spare you."
She would forcefully take Alexandra for the shopping and the witch knew it. But it was perhaps what she needed, so not answering her parents, Alexandra resolved to change herself so that she would feel no regrets anymore.
