Chapter 12 A real flash flood
There are still some families who immediately packed up their things as soon as they heard about the flash flood, including the Niu family.
Niu Erlang and Niu Sanlang carried large backpacks, and the Niu family set up a simple shed in the field far away from the mountain. The two brothers carried things back and forth.
Seeing that the Niu family had moved out all the bed boards, the villagers watching on the side laughed and said, "Do you really believe this?"
Niu Erlang put down his backpack, "Why don't you believe it? The village chief's family has moved."
The village chief's family also set up a shed not far from Niu's house and were busy moving things.
Gradually, a few people couldn't sit still and watched. Since the village chief had moved, it would be right to follow.
The Zhao family also set up a shed and crowded together with several familiar families.
Mrs. Ma crossed her arms and looked sideways, "Do you really believe what the Zhao family said? What about flash floods in the blue sky and white sun? Their own house collapsed, and they don't want us to live in it."
"Hmph! I can fool you, but you can't fool me!"
Aunt Wang passed by with a basket on her back and advised, "Auntie, move quickly. If there is a real flash flood, it will be too late."
Boss Ma looked up at the sky. The originally sunny sky had turned cloudy without realizing it. He also advised, "Mom, let's move quickly. It seems like it's going to rain again."
Madam Ma stared, "You're not even allowed to move!"
Ma's second daughter-in-law secretly rolled her eyes at her mother-in-law, "What a convulsion, old lady."
The sky was getting cloudier and cloudier, and the villagers moving things quickened their pace. Only the Ma family stayed at home.
Villagers passing by would try to dissuade her when they saw her. After several trips, Madam Ma couldn't get enough of it.
I also want to ridicule a few words and believe whatever I listen to. I only use my head to vent my anger, and I can’t even live in the house.
After talking too much, the villagers stopped trying to persuade and were busy moving things.
Why waste your breath.
As the old saying goes, good words can never persuade a damn devil.
Thunder was rolling in the sky, but it didn't crash down.
In an instant, heavy raindrops fell.
The villagers who had moved their things hid in the shed. The villagers who were still on the road ran to the shed without caring about other things.
Suddenly there was a huge noise from the mountain
Madam Ma heard the sound and turned back to look up the mountain. Sand covered stones and broken trees were pouring down like a tide.
"Flash flood! Flash flood!"
Ma Er's wife reacted quickly and ran away screaming.
Boss Ma pulled the stunned Madam Ma and ran forward desperately.
Soon, the flash flood surged down the mountain, and Mrs. Ma watched helplessly as the houses were flooded by the flash flood.
There was actually a flash flood!
The silt that poured down quickly flooded houses and land, mixed with livestock that had not been moved in time.
The screams of animals mixed with the rolling sound of sand are heart-stopping.
Ma Er's daughter-in-law jumped very fast and ran to a high place where the villagers gathered, panting.
Boss Ma took his mother a step slower. Fortunately, Ma's house was far away from the mountains. In the past, he always complained that he was far away from the mountains and hunting was not as convenient as other families. But now he has saved his life.
Mrs. Ma stumbled and was dragged along. When she reached a high place, she fell to the ground as soon as she stopped.
Boss Ma only studies at home and is as thin as a skeleton. He was so exhausted from running so hard just now that he had no energy to look after the old lady who fell to the ground.
Ma's second daughter-in-law patted her chest to catch her breath, looked around, walked to Mrs. Ma's side, and pretended to extend her hand to help Mrs. Ma.
"Mom, get up quickly."
Mrs. Ma slapped away Ma Er's daughter-in-law's hand and looked up. Ma Er's daughter-in-law
His hands were empty and he smiled sarcastically.
This was an incredible sight. Mrs. Ma grabbed Ma's second daughter-in-law's wrist fiercely, her eyes widening.
"Where's my sweet grandson!"
Good grandson?
It’s over! How could I forget the child!
