Chapter 124 – Turtle!
*Yawwnnnnn*
"What is going on?" Guren walked out of Uchiha Household, looking at Sakura, who was also standing outside the house.
"Guren..." Sakura looked back as Guren hugged her, resting his head against her, closing his eyes. She stroked his hair, "I haven't heard, but your Dad hasn't been back home, and now this."
"Hm," Guren opened his eyes, activating his eyes, using the Byakugan that covered the whole village. Even though they looked like a Sharingan, they did possess Byakugan's sight. Not only that, they were enhanced by the fact that his eyes had the same level of powers as a Mangekyo Sharingan, allowing him to cover the whole village.
"Everyone is getting deployed...wait...is that," Guren narrowed his eyes, moving away from Sakura. He closed his eyes, "I'll be back."
"Wait, Guren," Sakura moved her palm towards him to stop him, but he turned into a yellow flash, disappearing.
Leaf's Archeological Research Institute,
Guren appeared beside Sasuke and Boruto, "He's here?"
Boruto jumped up in surprise, covering his mouth, but his eyes widened, feeling a blush rise from his chest. His eyes looked at Guren's pretty face, but they were attracted to the lacy net robe nighty more than that.
Sasuke took out his cloak, putting on Guren, "What are you doing here?"
"Mom was worried, and everyone was running out of the village, being deployed. But you are the only one that was here, so I came to check," Guren tilted his head, adjusting the robe, "So? Is he?"
Sasuke nodded, walking deeper towards the Research Center, "One of the Genjutsu users was captured recently, and now Urashiki just happened to come out, being chased. I believe that's a diversion, and he wants to attack Naruto. But Boruto thinks that there is a chance the artifact recently discovered under the seabed might be related to Otsutsuki, and that's the real reason why Urashiki is here."
"Genjutsu user?"
Sasuke's footstep paused for a moment wanting to avoid the question, but Boruto told him, "Big Sis Mirai...she was..."
He hadn't even finished speaking when Guren disappeared, and before they could react, he came back, holding Mirai in his arms, "Ah, she seems fine."
"Huh?" Mirai found himself in Guren's arms, shocked to the point she jumped up from his arm, "You! How! Where am I!"
"Big Sis Mirai! You are ok," Boruto felt relief sweep over his body when he realized something, "Wait, is that my grandfather's ninjutsu?!"
"You can talk later," Sasuke hastened his steps, making Guren and Boruto follow behind him.
Mirai didn't realize what was happening, but Guren held her hand, pulling her with him until they reached where the artifact was.
"Urashiki."
"Oh, you found me," Urashiki stood in front of the artifact. It had opened up in rings, light shining between them, "But you are already too late to stop me from taking the Nine-tails chakra."
He submerged inside the portal, and Boruto followed him, "Oh, no, you don't!"
Sasuke glanced towards Guren, following after Boruto, "Go home."
"Right," Guren picked up Mirai in his arms, activating the third gate to barely make it in time before the portal closed.
"Where are we?" Mirai looked at the numerous particles floating in the air, the energy swirling, the cubes rising.
"That turtle," Boruto walked to the center, "That's the turtle Urashiki was held earlier."
"You followed me here? I really can't stand your persistence, you know!" Urashiki waved his hook towards Boruto, but Sasuke intervened.
"Just what are you up to?"
Urashiki pushed Sasuke back, kicking him to make distance when Boruto rushed up to Urashiki, only to be punched back. His body hit against the turtle, creating gentle waves in energy as he fell down.
"It's too soon."
"Boruto!" Sasuke used his Rinnegan, exchanging positions between Boruto and the Urashiki, causing Urashiki to fall down, but he didn't seem to mind. He fell laughing, cheerful as if he wasn't worried anymore.
"Guren," Sasuke created a Susanoo, pulling Guren and Mirai next to him and Boruto, protecting them.
A bright light covered them, and when they came to, they fell down from a bright blue sky, landing near a village, between trees.
"Strange," Guren raised his head, staring at the sky. He could feel that this body was out of time compared to other bodies.
"Did you find something?" Sasuke looked around, trying to sense something.
"My connection to the Flying Raijin Seals...it's like they aren't there anymore. This shouldn't be possible, but that could only mean we have been teleported somewhere much farther...and yet. This place seems familiar."
"Urashiki's isn't anywhere around," Boruto scanned the surroundings as Mirai jumped out of Guren's arms.
"I understand. I will check the surroundings to see if we can find a landmark."
"Yeah, sure, do that," Guren took the turtle from Boruto, knocking on it, "Yo, you awake?"
The turtle didn't answer as Guren followed Mirai, Sasuke, and Boruto, observing the turtle, "It seems to be..."
"Oh, there is a civilization," Mirai was gleeful that they quickly found someplace with people. She walked a few steps ahead of everyone when her footsteps slowed down, seeing Hokage Faces, "Oh, it's the Leaf...but that makes no sense. It was the night just now..."
"Hm," Sasuke took a few steps forward, rushing up the buildings, seeing the full view as the others followed behind him, "This...is the Leaf of the past."
"Oh, makes so much sense," Guren let out a breath of relief, "So this thing is a time machine."
"Before we entered, he told us something...that we were too late..."
"Wow, taking Kurama from a kid Seventh, that's just low," Guren curled his lips.
"Wait, so it's really the past?" Mirai widened her eyes. Even though she knew she shouldn't be thinking about personal stuff at times like this, she looked towards Konoha with expectations.
"Thinking about meeting your Dad?" Guren looked at her back, grinning.
Mirai turned red, looking back, "That's...I...wait...how did you even reach me? Did you leave a mark on me?"
"Of course I did," Guren chuckled, "After all, Mirai is precious to me."
"You!" Mirai was taken aback, seeing Sasuke and Boruto's eyes on her, making her blush even further when there was a crack in space around them.
A scarlet eye peeked from the other side, "Oh, this is starting to look like fun."
